Rurik Jutting found guilty of double murder in Hong Kong

Although how that could ever have been in doubt is beyond me. What he subjected his first victim is so horrendous that the judge did not allow all the evidence to be presented to the jury.
I have felt sickened and enraged by this case. A fat bloated Westerner can have total power over women for the simple reason that he is rich and they are poor. He can lure them , imprison them, torture and kill them. His meaningless life of money making, pornography consumption and drug taking has culminated in this, and the women's families are left even poorer and in one case, orphaned.
The parents of the victim who was a mother have said they want compensation, and for Jutting to pay for the young woman's son's education. I guess they can't afford fine feelings, but I wonder about the long term psychological effects on the boy when he realises that the man who raped, tortured and killed his mother paid for his education. Let's hope he never, ever gets out and sees the light of day as a free man.

Quite agree with all you say, it's a horrifying, revolting case and I hope he dies in prison.
