They left him in a area full of bears. I hope they are arrested.

This story has really shocked me. Poor poor little boy. And I can't believe what the parents did, but part of me feels sorry for them too. They must be in hell right now sad

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger Sun 29-May-16 19:39:19

Cannot fathom what the hell possessed them - utterly unbelievable.

I hope he is found hiding somewhere, and that his parents have the book thrown at them.

Oh, that's horrid.

They could all have been eaten by bears if it's that populated by them.

I wonder why they changed their story?

VanessaBet Sun 29-May-16 19:46:55

My guess is that it wasn't 5 minutes either. Bet that's been whittled down and it was longer. Poor child.

YouSay Sun 29-May-16 19:49:05

I can't stop thinking how scared he must be. They have hundreds out looking for 2 days now but still no sign sad

Alibobbob Sun 29-May-16 19:49:10

That's awful poor little boy. I hope he's found safe x

Buggers Sun 29-May-16 19:52:46

I'm not believing they left him for 5 minutes either, have a feeling they know more than their telling the police. Really hope the poor little boy is ok.

FructoseTart Sun 29-May-16 19:55:54

Holy crap!

Hope he's found safe and well but I very much doubt it. How scared must he have been. Poor little boy!

Hassled Sun 29-May-16 19:59:44

I've done the pretending I'm walking away thing before but 500 metres in a forest? Barking, barking mad. Poor kid.

YouSay Sun 29-May-16 20:01:32

It is very strange. I think there has to be more to this story. Who brings their kids for a day out to an area populated with bears?

Hope he is found safe and well.

ShatnersBassoon Sun 29-May-16 20:09:57

Even if it was just 5 minutes, that's a very long time to want to terrify a child for. What the hell were these idiots trying to teach the poor thing? sad

Yeah thats an odd destination for a family outing.

And all those people now at risk from bears whilst they help look for a child that probably wont be found.

WilentSitness Sun 29-May-16 21:20:20

Well, this isn't a western middle class family presumably, so our ideals are probably quite different.

crazymammy Sun 29-May-16 21:22:38

I have no words

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger Sun 29-May-16 22:08:53

Ideals? Irrespective of culture, leaving your young child alone in a forest known to be home to bears is not acceptable!

nancy75 Sun 29-May-16 22:10:56

Actually the bears are just an added issue, who leaves their little kid in any forest on their own? It's just awful

nilbyname Sun 29-May-16 22:16:18

wilent I can't really explain why but I find your post quite racist.

White middle class people abuse, neglect and do all sorts of horrible things to their children.
