LEH School Waiting list

My daughter is on the waiting list at LEH senior. It is her first choice and she really love the school atmosphere. I am new to this whole process and wondered if this was a good thing or whether I shouldn't raise my hopes. Does anybody have any insight into how successful this is, or even how long they make the list as they are not advising where we are on the list.

There was at least one thread in (Secondary?) Education, but there was a garble in the title, which despite OP being asked for clarification, wasn't explained. So it might have been hidden by all the others who couldn't read it in active, especially if they thought they might be missing a specific angle.

And of course the MN prevailing theory is that anyone should post anything anywhere, lest they feel unwelcome otherwise, so I'm OK with spotting in Active and answering.

Firstly, thr unwelcome bit - in the last couple of years, several schools have not used their waiting lists at all, and those which have may only have taken one or two from it.

Schools only use the waiting list when enough offers have been declined that they know they would have a vacancy otherwise. So unless a lot of people are rejecting LEH this year, it's much more likely that it would happen I. The day or two following the original deadline to reply.

When is that? And how does it fit with when state school offers are made?
