Not an easy one, my mind keeps changing. Right now I'm going for Life On Mars.

Anyone else?

So hard.

Changes as it was the first Bowie song we got slightly tipsy to.

Ashes to Ashes for the people I was around at the time [schooldays]

Queen Bitch for the video - those boots.

I am totally and utterly gutted today. ALL my friends are Bowie fans. It's heartbreaking, and we are all devastated.

Shocking news to wake up to this morning. He's just brought out a new album but has had cancer for a couple of years. Must have wanted to keep it secret.

I'm a big David Bowie fan -

Heroes
Lets Dance
Ashes to Ashes
Stay ..

Another vote for Ashes to Ashes. I love his 70s stuff but that song just encapsulates the strangeness of him, and indeed the 80s.

Wild Is The Wind
Under Pressure
Life On Mars
Little China Girl
This Is Not America
Heroes
++++

It would actually be easier to list the very few that I DIDN'T really love.

There's so many I don't even know. My most musculature influenced period was when he was releasing his creatively questionable stuff or when he wasn't releasing anything, so I only know his more popular stuff.

Going to use this thread to educate myself

Let's dance.

I'd like to say RIP however resting in peace for such a legend seems not quite right. I'd like to think of him and all the greats gone before him having a right old session wherever they may be. Being free from pain and suffering is what's most important.

Ashes to Ashes.

Ooh, no Changes...

Space Oddity is still brilliant.

So many I can't chose just one.

Life on Mars
Heroes
Space Oddity
Ashes to Ashes
And many many more...

Made such an impact on my little brain when I first heard them and I've loved them ever since.

Odd isn't it? To like a cover song, when he wrote such beautiful songs.

But I always looked for the covers on each album. He interpreted so well.
