Not an easy one, my mind keeps changing. Right now I'm going for Life On Mars.

Anyone else?

DoreenLethal Mon 11-Jan-16 09:16:07

So hard.

Changes as it was the first Bowie song we got slightly tipsy to.

Ashes to Ashes for the people I was around at the time [schooldays]

Queen Bitch for the video - those boots.

I am totally and utterly gutted today. ALL my friends are Bowie fans. It's heartbreaking, and we are all devastated.

Shocking news to wake up to this morning. He's just brought out a new album but has had cancer for a couple of years. Must have wanted to keep it secret.

I'm a big David Bowie fan -

Lets Dance
Ashes to Ashes
Stay ..

Whole Albums rather than a single song.

Man Who Sold the World
Station to Station

Wild is the wind

LettuceLaughton Mon 11-Jan-16 09:33:37

I honestly couldn't choose. So, so much amazing material.

Inkanta Mon 11-Jan-16 09:35:15

Yes - Wild is the Wind.

JimmyGreavesMoustache Mon 11-Jan-16 09:36:28

so many
Boys Keep Swinging
Queen Bitch
and I have a very soft spot for As The World Falls Down

OurBlanche Mon 11-Jan-16 09:37:18

Yes, if 1 song, Wild is the Wind

mupperoon Mon 11-Jan-16 09:38:40

Another vote for Ashes to Ashes. I love his 70s stuff but that song just encapsulates the strangeness of him, and indeed the 80s.

Gozogozo Mon 11-Jan-16 09:38:57

Wild Is The Wind
Under Pressure
Life On Mars
Little China Girl
This Is Not America

It would actually be easier to list the very few that I DIDN'T really love.

There's so many I don't even know. My most musculature influenced period was when he was releasing his creatively questionable stuff or when he wasn't releasing anything, so I only know his more popular stuff.

Going to use this thread to educate myself

Flingingmelon Mon 11-Jan-16 09:40:56

Musculature? 'Musically' please auto correct!

needygonzales Mon 11-Jan-16 09:41:10

Prettiest Star, I just love it

Iwonderif Mon 11-Jan-16 09:42:55

Let's dance.

I'd like to say RIP however resting in peace for such a legend seems not quite right. I'd like to think of him and all the greats gone before him having a right old session wherever they may be. Being free from pain and suffering is what's most important.

MilkTwoSugarsThanks Mon 11-Jan-16 09:44:00

Ashes to Ashes.

Ooh, no Changes...

..but I really loved Let's Dance too.

Space Oddity is still brilliant.

zippyswife Mon 11-Jan-16 09:44:02

Just can't pick one...
Young Americans
Absolute beginners.
Can't believe he's gone.

SoftBlocks Mon 11-Jan-16 09:44:13

So many I can't chose just one.

Life on Mars
Space Oddity
Ashes to Ashes
And many many more...

Made such an impact on my little brain when I first heard them and I've loved them ever since.

OurBlanche Mon 11-Jan-16 09:45:10

Odd isn't it? To like a cover song, when he wrote such beautiful songs.

But I always looked for the covers on each album. He interpreted so well.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia Mon 11-Jan-16 09:47:05

The Jean Genie and Suffragette City

OurBlanche Mon 11-Jan-16 09:48:22

M48294Y Mon 11-Jan-16 09:49:12
