If they hadn't invited the MP do you think that they would have gotten any publicity at all. Food banks are in every country. The oil rich Norway the SNP bangs on about has some of the largest, between them Sweden and Norway Food banks served 3 million meals in a year.

Mr Mundell said he wanted to work with local organisations to eradicate poverty in his constituency

Shouldn't he be working with his government to eradicate poverty in the whole bloody country?

Scotland now has three different breeds of Panda, I wonder if the blue one was invited or forced his way in, either way he was on a hiding to nothing, so not the brightest Panda in the tree.

As a little Englander for some reason I didn't think that socialist Scotland had Food Banks.

Doesn't the SNP have all the powers they need to raise the taxes in Scotland they say should happen in England, to eradicate Food Banks?

The UK recession began in 2008, the blue Panda says that he wants to debate the Scottish Food Bank big picture, which could be a good idea as Scotland has a much smaller economy than England's and is sprinkling taxpayers money on freebes we don't have - so better able to lead by example, especially if higher taxes is the way forward.

The SNP government is so underspent it could eradicate food banks but then it couldn't blame Westminster. Or it could have used the money it spent blocking council tax rises.

Of course England gets some things Scotland doesn't - like a cancer drugs fund. Englands Police and Fire Services don't pay VAT, but due to incompetence in our government the Scottish services do.
