Somerset farmers

I know there's a lot of trauma in Somerset for many homeowners, but I really feel for the farmers. There was one on breakfast tv the other day - feed for animals was being soaked in floodwater, and animals at risk if any more rain - and more rain has come. They must be absolutely exhausted trying to take care of things. This is where the army are needed - surely farmers could do with the extra manpower to look after animals - and help to evacuate if need be. It just goes on and on Sad

And I'm from up north - no problems here I'm glad to say (as far as I know!)

The farmers have got a lot to contend with and many may never recover financially. The local emergency services (firemen and Barb in particular) are also really hard pushed. They all need extra support and manpower. The Government needs to do more now, not just talk about it.

It's raining heavily again tonight. Sad

The other SW thread linked to a FB group which is full of people asking/receiving help & advice. People offering shelter to animals and food.

There was one on tv the other day where 70% of his land was under water.
I just can't imagine. Your home, your livelihood and the responsibility towards living creatures, the stress must be so draining
