so sad. :( there is going to be a huge enquiry re mental health and children at risk/vulnerable. This is so tragic but thankfully rare. I think tho from a professional persepective that there could be implications for mothers with mh problems who require long term care altho i dont know full details of case. It does say she had depression and she had threatened to harm herself and then it appears has done so and also her son. I wonder if risk assessments were carried out properly etc. So tragic tho :(

Awen, because this is something that is very close to my heart, I noticed from your post that you cut and paste a response from another thread. Please could you explain to me what you mean by " I think tho from a professional persepective that there could be implications for mothers with mh problems ".

this is such a sad story, and so much of it is missing. What's in the press is so sketchy ( what I've read, anyway). Whatever really happened, the woman's parents and sister must be feeling so awful about it.

? Am online now - sorry havent been on for a while. I didnt cut and paste my response so no idea what you mean by that.

K - what i meant was that when an incident occurs there is usually an investigation/enquiry on what could have been in place to prevent it happening again.

In terms of having implications for those who have the care of children or vulnerable others, it may mean that policies get changed/altered in areas if felt necessary. I didnt word it very well at first tbh. It is sometimes hard to explain a point whe typing - bit like texting.

Fragile X is a genetic condition that often presents in a manner similar to autism.

I hope so Awen- this is the 2nd case in only a couple of years (Helen Rogan previously).

hospitals also dont give a damn. we have voiced our concerns over peter coming home, and have basically be told we will have to deal with it. we have ahrdly any support, we are waiting fir funding for 19hourts per week carers, and i get 2 hours per week to go out.

I meant that yo should reply from a professional viewpoint, assuming that you are in a profession which is applicable to this... in a very nice way. Was waiting to see what you wroteSmileas I haven't got a clue with anything like this.
