What on earth can be happening

EightToSixer Fri 19-Oct-12 17:47:47

It's terrible isn't it? I'm North Cardiff but know a lot of people in West Cardiff and hope everyone pulls through ok.

Pagwatch Fri 19-Oct-12 17:48:06

Multiple serious injuries , thought to be 11, including children.

A man has been arrested so at least the incident is over. Small comfort of course.

Pagwatch Fri 19-Oct-12 17:48:49

It's just one of those incidents that you can't quite take in. Awful

TaffyandTeenyTaffy Fri 19-Oct-12 17:52:50

I was in that area just about an hour before and caught up in the aftermath..... truly horrific for all involved, praying for the children and their families.

Pagwatch Fri 19-Oct-12 17:55:38

Indeed. Thinking of all those poor souls involved.

It is horrendous. I'm also north Cardiff but we have had a police presence here too. It's horrendous, here is an up to date link (on phone so may not work).

Heath A&E is closed apart for those involved in the incident if you need to go to hospital all are diverted to Newport.

There are people saying 5 including children have died but its not confirmed, I hope to god that's wrong.

SuePurblybilt Fri 19-Oct-12 18:05:22

Oh goodness, really? How awful.

MrsMangoBiscuit Fri 19-Oct-12 18:07:47

shock Someone deliberatly ran people over?! Children?! I'm just... shocked doesn't even cover it. That's truly awful. Those poor families. sad

member Fri 19-Oct-12 18:08:38

Thank goodness they've arrested the alledged perpetrator, I hope everyone hit pulls through.

NoWuckingFurries Fri 19-Oct-12 18:10:12

I'm another one in North Cardiff. This is just shocking and so terrible for the poor souls involved. I just don't understand what possesses someone to do such a thing?!

hugandroll Fri 19-Oct-12 18:10:25

The only thing I can compare it to is the computer game grand theft auto. Can see that appearing in the defence "grand theft auto turned me into a psychopath and I now have to reenact all the levels for real". No, you're just one of the biggest cunts I've heard of in a long time.

EduCated Fri 19-Oct-12 18:10:45

That is truly horrific. Those poor, poor families.

Pagwatch Fri 19-Oct-12 18:11:22

I rarely post on news stories. It is just so hard to process. What on earth could possess anyone to do such a thing - especially to children.

NoWuckingFurries Fri 19-Oct-12 18:13:52

I agree, hugandroll , what a total cunt angry
Fingers crossed for good outcomes for the victims.

How utterly, utterly dreadful. Hoping for a full recovery for all.

MeFour Fri 19-Oct-12 18:18:42

So sad and
Makes me so angry
There is so much sadness in this world why do people need to add to it

MikeLitorisBites Fri 19-Oct-12 18:19:43

I'm central Cardiff. Lots of family in Ely and was shopping in leckwith earlier with Dd2.

I feel sick thinking about this.

I hope the reports about fatalities are wrong.

hugandroll Fri 19-Oct-12 18:23:27

I do too mike. Must be really surreal for you to think you were there before it happened. Glad you had left and didn't get caught up in it but its just incomprehensible for the families that are involved.

MikeLitorisBites Fri 19-Oct-12 18:30:22

We only went into one shop, we'd normally spend a while going around smyths. By through look of things that was a wise move.

I'm trying get in touch with family now. My cousin has dc in school close by. I'm sure I would have heard something if there was any problems but you just never know.
