Twenty years of Childline.

Esther Rantzen has just been interviewed on Jeremy Vine and was talking about this. She says the biggest difference between now and then is that the children ringing in now have only suffered abuse (on average) for around a year, whereas 20 years ago children were suffering abuse as long as they could remember. So a big up for Esther.

A big up from me too. I am a definite closet Esther fan. Not hip, i know, but she is massively involved in Childline in a real way (not just for celebrity brownie points). Hurrah for ER and all others at Childline :o
