Its just so so sad. I can't believe the riots have now resulted in murder. I hope they find those responsible fast and bring them to justice.

So, so sad. He sounds like he is a great dad and his boy sounds like he was a great son.

Nancy66 Wed 10-Aug-11 16:29:20

How awful - he seems like a lovely dad. Hope they get the driver of the car.

He was so gracious and dignified. I thought it was wonderful that he called for peace and order when his heart was obviously broken.

DioneTheDiabolist Wed 10-Aug-11 18:08:54

Absolutely heartbreaking. My prayers are with Mr. Jahan and his family.

mrstimlovejoy Wed 10-Aug-11 18:19:39

just watching it on my local news
a 32 year old man has been arrested
2 of the men killed were brothers sad

queenmaeve Wed 10-Aug-11 18:50:28

So tragic. My heart just goes out to that poor man and all of the families. He was so dignified when he spoke. I wept for him.

FellatioNelson Wed 10-Aug-11 21:49:48

Now that IS a young man whose death is worth protesting over. anyone in Tottenham want to march on the police station and demand 'justice' for him? No. Thought not.

belledechocchipcookie Wed 10-Aug-11 21:51:28

sad Heartbreaking. I hope he's given the hero status that he deserves and his family is given the space they need to grieve.

EustaciaVye Wed 10-Aug-11 21:55:32

The saddest thing is his sentence at the end. "A few days from now nobody will care".

FellatioNelson Wed 10-Aug-11 21:57:54

And he is right. His son's name will disappear out of the headlines, and the only one to get some warped Hero status out of this is some two-bit gangster with a loaded gun. (allegedly.)
