I'm not exactly a fan but this is just so pointless, nasty and unfair.

Horrible. DM hates women.

Vile, vile vile. It says she's a glamour model - as if to justify poking fun at her. Then it says she has an eating disorder. No wonder! What hypocrisy. Angry

They're a bunch of nasty bastards.

I'm not clicking on that link because I don't feel like having The Rage today. I bet they also have a couple of non-stories involving celebs in bikinis, women who are pregnant/have newborns and the requisite commentary on their bodies, maybe something about the child of somebody famous and a load of crap about what women wear and their turgid opinions on said sartorial choices.

FFS she has recently had a baby Angry

If it had all been lasered off they would be saying how great she looks. Assholes.

some supportive comments on the link thank goodness
I see it's written by 'DAILY MAIL REPORTER' Hmm

Eww.. DM are creeps.

Why wear a crop top showing off your belly so soon after giving birth though? She's a glamour model, she makes a living through her looks. It's fair game IMO.

Report
corsilk · 11/06/2011 20:19

It's not a crop top.

I am torn.

I want to be enraged and call them all bastard misogynists who are further perpetuating the myth that anything less than a perfect female form is unsightly.

However she is a glamour model. It is her job to be aesthetically perfect, or even beyond perfect and instead be enhanced.
When you make your body your meal ticket, you can't really blame people pointing out that it is not as it should be.

It is the same as a builder being annoyed that people have complained that the wall he built was wonky.

sort of.

But it is the Daily Mail and they are all scum so i will go with the former probably

Report

Oh its hardly a crop top Hmm. Its a top she put on that she probably assumed would cover her tummy. That is just one of the meanest articles; I'm sure there are hundreds of women all across the country who have done exactly that. Awful awful 'article'. Angry

I in fact would love to have her body post two pregnancies.

Report
belledechocchipcookie · 11/06/2011 20:34

That's a terrible article. The Daily Mail are truly scum and should not be allowed to print articles that damage a woman's self esteem like this.

Report
Bandwitch · 11/06/2011 20:36

I know, I saw this and thought ofgs. she has brought two children in to the World. She's allowed to have a some evidence of that on her body. The size of her breasts in proportion to the skinniness of her limbs is more pass-remarkable imo.

Report
cagedbirdsings · 11/06/2011 20:37

She is also anorexic with severe body issues so, yeah, well done DM, I'm sure you're really helping her recovery! [hmmm]

Report
cagedbirdsings · 11/06/2011 20:38

oops I meant Hmm

I really do think that something needs to be done about the Daily Mail. They either print crap that's racist, mysogonistic or inflammatory and they should not be allowed to get away with this. They would be happy if we returned to 1950s values, where women were all thin and stuck in the home raising children.

Report
NormanTebbit · 11/06/2011 20:40

I saw that and wondered who the hell thought it was worth a story. Horrible rubbish. I thought she looked great.

Awful, and shes attempting to recover from an eating disorder as well. By saying she looks shit they are really saying that we all look shit. Thanks.

springbokscantjump · 11/06/2011 20:42

MoreCrack I didn't catch that sentance. That is just despicable.

Report
threadsoffeeling · 11/06/2011 20:42

She looks completely amazing in those pictures. I sincerely hope it was on purpose, coz that is what real women aspire to look like after they have had a baby. not plastic, airbrushed barbies.

Report
EmLH · 11/06/2011 20:48

What a spiteful and pointless article. She's obviously going to be hurt by it. It's more hurtful than the usual 'celebs looking crap' photos because it's connected to carrying a child. How lame for the author not to put their name to the article as well. Obviously knew what they were writing was out of order and what they'd be in for!

Wonder what they'd make of a barrage of angry emails from a load of mumsnetters?! Unfortunately it would probably be water off a duck's back :(

FFS awful, she's got a lovely flat tummy and has had TWO DC for christs sake Angry

They should be ashamed. Oh how dare there be any evidence that she has had two children! Fucking idiots. I hate shit like this. Angry

Report
PacificDogwood · 11/06/2011 21:06

Angry

  • It is NOT a cropped top
  • She is a former glamour model
  • Not only did she have 2 children, she also lost 6 stone - ffs, of course that leaves you with some lose skin

And that last sentence re 'she looks like she has recovered from her eating disorder' is just vile.

I had never heard of the woman before I stupidly clicked on the link (well, I am as nosy as the next person Blush) and now I am ready to implode on her behalf!

The DM are absolute wankers.
Not long ago they printed an article about her eating disorder and another criticising her for being too skinny etc etc

given her eating disorder history this is a really insensitive and ill thought out article.

I wonder why I am surprised.

It says something when the reader comments are actually supporting the slated celebrity!
