Hi all I am just posting this in order to keep Joannes name in the public domain- This case is very mysterious and so far the police have no real leads although her parents suspect she has been abducted!

Hopefully someone has the information needed to bring Joanna hope safe and well- her parents are distraught!

i always wonder why some cases are more high profile than others - this doesnt seem to be top news despite a young woman (with no previous history of going missing) disappearing and all her stuff being left behind in her flat.

Really hope they make it a bit more high profile and get some answers (good or bad) soon!

He wasn't even in the area when the last CCTV images were taken!

This case reminds me a lot of Claudia Lawrence she just suddenly vanished into thin air too :(.

I hope she is found soon her parents and boyfriend all look so wretched.

I read today that her boyfriend was staying with his brother. When asked about it by the press his brother said ' the police have all the times. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to say anything else' - now I think that's an A grade weird thing to say. I also read yesterday that the police weren't sure if she'd left by foot or on her bike. Eh? Surely they know if her bike's missing? All very, very odd.

Regarding 'blaming' anyone - we all know that partners and relations are responsible for the deaths of far more women than 'strangers'. It's not particularly nice to speculate about this guy - but you can be very sure the police are looking very, very hard at him.

iirc wasn't claudia lawrence reported to be a prostitute, so unfortunately far more likelyhood of meeting some unsavery character..

Totoros, from past examples the police often put the suspect on the tv to get psychologists to examine them, the partner is normally the top suspect in such cases and they will be watching him!

Claudia Lawrence is local to me and no she wasn't a prostitute. She seems to have had a fairly lively love life possibly involved with married men. I firmly believe she was killed by a partner/ex partner. It's not clear at what point she disappeared - the police know when she got home I think - but after that it's a blank. The assumption is she left for work in the morning - but nothing to prove that.

Maybe other poster meant due to excessive sleeping around and bedding married men, that Caludia put herself at risk, who knows it is sad regarless if she was a prostitute or was a bit loose, she was a human being and she had family and friends who loved her, and no one had the right to hurt her!

There was also something in the Daily Mail about the pizza she bought in tesco on her way home, its the only thing other than her that is also unaccounted for.

Just heard on the radio that the police are treating the missing pizza as significant.

Whatever has happened its an awful time for her family.

She bought a pizza in tesco on her way home, however there is no trace of the pizza or its packing - it would seem that it could be with her, or the only thing she took with her when she left.

the pizza thing is weird

if she left her phone and keys at home then you can assume she arrived back from buying the pizza,

theres no wrapper at the flat

so it would seem she has bought a pizza, gone home and then left again, leaving everything she owns including her purse, keys, mobile phone... but HAS taken the pizza with her??

Who knows? Odds are, however, as she was not connected to drugs or prostitution, she's dead.

Toros, yes you would at least take your keys with you if you were going to a mates with a pizza wouldn't you? So are they thinking that who ever took her took the pizza also, so they must want to check bins for the wrappings then?

I imagine that is the sort of kick a socio/pshycopath would get, and they probably enjoyed eating the pizza as well, sick!

Or somebody picked her up on the way home. Whatever has happened then happened and her keys etc were taken back to the flat to make it look like she had been back there? Of course you would need another set of keys to do that.
