Morning Swan we have a small garden so tree wouldn't be huge and would live in the pot all year round. So need to investigate vareities which would be ok with this.

have just had another letter re dd starting school in September, she now has a place in the school round the corner. which is good as it is very close so she will have friends close to home and will be able to walk when I don't have to be in uni. (the other school they offered us is about one and a half miles away so not as convenient.) So now no need for her to go to school on weds she goes for a bit in July instead.

ds has an induction day at his secondary in July too. too many changes for me .

Anyway on with the housework today;

done;
deep clean of bathrooms
all beds stripped
breakfast
put away breakfast table
dc to school/nursery
load washer x2
unload washer
mission

to do;
load and unload washer several times
get in dry washing
wash up
tidy through
hoover
remake all beds
wash floors
bottle elderflower cordial

BBL
dust

Swan yes ds went to a school which was round the corner a while back, it was lovely we had to leave 5 mins before he needed to be there, so much easier and less rushed in mornings. I did explain this to her on way to nursery and she seems to accept it, I drove past a couple of children walking to the school and pointed out the uniform etc and she seems happy enough. Will take her for walk past the school another day so she can see exactly where it is, not the direction we usually go in so not done it very often since we moved in.

elderflower tastes quite nice on spoon need to dilute and try as a drink, all it has cost is the price of some sugar so very [happpy]. I left the lemon out as dd is allergic and she wouldn't have been able to try otherwise. So hope she likes it

must get on

Hi all.

I did really well with the housework, but discovered on unloading the washing machine that I have washed dd1s mobile phone.

Aaargh! It was am expensive one, too, on a contract, not like my cheapo payg one. Not sure what to do.

Afternoon all

Have had a lovely morning at a house of colour make up morning (but spent way too much money)

Managed to fit in sainsbury's between that and school so we have some food (always a bonus)

DD is a pain today and was sent back to bed twice before nursery - I hope that she is better when she comes back

I rang school up to let them know that I would be a little later than usual for reading volunteer only to be told that the class was on a trip - less than impressed. I'm going to speak to the co-ordinator as I am now not there for 3 weeks what with two week hols and then a 1 week placement in school.

Need to pick DD up from nursery and have a sort then need to go to physio appointment - knee and hip are still fine but now I have a sore shoulder - falling to bits at 30!!

To Do

  • Pick up DD
  • Wash swimming and gym clothes from yesterday
  • Speak to nursery re plans for tomorrows trip - so far no information on arrangements, what to take etc
  • Me and DD across other side of city for physio appointment
  • Cook tea - duck and noodle something or other - WW meal so best find receipe folder too
  • Find out rain macs and lunch boxes etc for tomorrow
  • Pack lunches and rucksack for tomorrow

I'm really hoping that tomorrow doesn't rain we are off to Roundhay park in Leeds and its been raining here yesterday and a bit today so i'm praying for sun - don't fancy walking round park in rain all day

Back later

sim cards usually survive washers?

I've done that "mob in machine" before. And I think someone told me I should have taken sim back to have it revived. May be nonsense.

It is pouring with rain here.
We are swimming again. Children have played beautifully in pool together, in water they never fight

MC yes, unfortunately volunteers are never told anything in advance...not like we have anything else to plan

Jas could try taking sim card out leaving back of phone open, battery out and see if it dries. I have done this when my phone got dropped in the bath and it dried out ok

MC hope dd came home much happier

am feeling very tired now, ds and I did 30 lengths of the pool. I found I can swim 12 lengths non stop now and only stopped then as I had cramp in both feet.

all housework list finished and made blueberry muffins too.
ds likes the elderflower, dd does not.

Arghhhhhhh

DD gone to bed without story - she is really being a madam at the moment

Been to physio - shoulder muscle strain - I now have bright pink tape (I mean bright) all over my shoulder and up my neck - no chance of disguising it!! - that will be great for school trip tomorrow and school governor things wed/thurs - I have to leave it on until Saturday!!

Have made a weightwatchers chicken pasta for school trip tomorrow, its weigh in day and I've been super good all week and about to go away for two weeks - I need a good weigh-in

Off to bed in a minute then up early to pack rucksack for trip - bought CC and her best friend a bug catcher and magnifying glass to pass some time tomorrow

Back tomorrow afternoon/evening

Morning all

The sim card is fine. I took it out and put it in mine and it worked immediately. I think the music chip will be ok too (it has already survived one wash) but the handset doesn't stand up to a 2 hour cycle
I have organised another one for her....just need to wait til tomorrow to buy it.

I spent all day yesterday doing housework, and the place looked lovely. You can hardly tell I did anything now though. This is why I need FLY. It is so boring doing the same stuff over and over again....

Report
swanriver · 15/06/2010 13:31

Back from hectic morning at work..everything getting more and more untidy and disorganised there, but using flying to good advantage - quickly tidying and not getting stressed if can't get everything done, after all it is school's fault if they decide to make the official librarian into a TA, leaving the place to be run by [hardly any}volunteers I think something was up with the school budget...[double School politics - do not want to get involved.

Anyway, back to my fragrant home, where lots needs doing...
bbl.
Scatty hope your dh feels better soon - I think we are not the only ones that get the blues.
MC poor shoulder, good luck with dd's mood, I tried the softly softly approach today, just about managed to stop her chaining herself to sofa this morning

swanriver · 15/06/2010 13:32

Dyls that is amazing swimming Luckily I always bump into someone and have to stop or I would expire after 30 lengths.

must crack on now.

aargh printer gone wrong again, NEVER let your children on computer, they always press the wrong button.

Just trying to rpint out about the blooming Factory Act. Will revert to former low tech lifestyle.

We have eaten stirfry
I have planted some clematis
taken dcs to park for runaround
made afterschool snacks

Ds1 is obsessed by football (still won't play though) comes home every day demanding to watch latest match. His pronounciation of Uruguay is something else!

Shame you couldn't combine your trip to Manchester with something exciting OFM.

Hi all
My list is nearly all completed for today but I have plenty more to put on the list for tomorrow
Nice to hear all your news - hope the prep for your interview going ok OFM, I have a book to send you!
Dyls I am amazed at your swimming - I have only just learnt as you know and I managed 6 lengths last week and that certainly wasn't non stop! It must be like running, when you need to build up to it. Hopefully going to go in the morning, think if I go once a week I may very slowly improve (being pregnant and fat isn't helping!)
swan Legoland sounds fab - they have opened a new small one at Manchester which i am hoping to visit soon!
Jas you are so right about Flying - it is boring though but I think that it becomes second nature so i don't notice the boredom.
Everyone else - hi
Well, need to clear the kitchen, do a small amount of ironing (trying to do each load as I wash it! usually leave it to be huge pile), send a birthday card and gift and some filing ... otherwise, hopefully an early night in the sleeping sense!
BB later
