would it be cost effective to not have a washing machine and use a laundry service instead?

i have never used a laundrette so dont know if it would be more or less expensive to use that for all our washing rather than buy a new machine and run it 4/5 times a week.

No you're better off buying a washing machine.

If it was less expensive hardly anyone would own a washing machine.

When my friend had no washing machine for a long time (having her kitchen refurbed) she told me she was spending £25 a week at the launderette.

No it wouldn't be more cost effective to use a laundry service although if you watch eastenders you could be forgiven for thinking so!

I've always wondered why no one in Eastenders, in 2010, has a washing machine. The plumbing in that square must be victorian!!
