Merry Christmas overflowing and swan. Dh has just made me a cup of tea so we're going to have that with a slice of stollen.

Happy Xmas and Boxing Day to all.
Yesterday was manic, and DC's behaviour was a bit challenging. then I came down with a virus about 3 pm and am still stricken with it - sore throat etc. hoping to be better tomorrow - MIL had it Xmas Eve and is much better today.
See you tomorrow

Merry Christmas and boxing day to you all

Lots of washing and throwing away cardboard, plastic bags, crumpled paper, runing the TD, folding clothes, putting them away. I'm shattered now.

A box of sleep for christmas would have been so useful!

It was just us on Xmas day, and it was still manic Wendy! Dh and I barely got time to give each other a kiss and exchange presents bfore being summoned back to the coalface
I think by tomorrow the children will have calmed down enough to be able to play together without supervision [fsigh]
Today we had guests who played the piano and cello for us , and I've now notched up three festive dinners in a row.
Dd loves decorating the table ("this is the special children's table Mummy"), and is still searching for more crackers.

House looking very rumpled - it's better when darkness falls and you can't see the crumbs, just the tinsel.

Hello to all on the thread and it's lovely to see you!

We're still having a lovely relaxing Christmas. The 4 of us are manfully eating our way through the last of the turkey. I made curry with it for tea. We're off on our travels for a couple of days tomorrow so I'm going to make a packed lunch (turkey sarnies etc) to take with us. I haven't packed my stuff yet so I'd best do that tonight to avoid a rush tomorrow. Off to do some ironing and then pack. See you in a few days!

I am a new person here and have been lurking for a while... you all sound lovely and also organised. It's so nice not to be at work or ferrying children places, and so we are playing Newmarket (card game, betting on horses with matches, minimal skill, lots of luck) and I am ignoring the piles of STUFF everywhere. Too much snow to go out visiting and soon will haul rabbit in hutch into hall so poor wee thing doesn't freeze overnight. Doesn't add much to the ambience, though. Looking forward to being much more organised and capable next year
