Bed bugs, if you had them how did you know?

I have namechanged
I am not sure if we have got bed bugs or not...

Usually the cleaner changes the beds but I did them yesterday and noticed small darker things inside the mattress protector
It is quilted, they were inside the quilted bits

Washed it at 90 and was then still suspicious so I undid a seam and they looked possibly bug like

If you have had them did you see live ones?
I have not found any crawling about so far

hmm, dunno, but i assume if you had them that they would have bitten you, and I believe they leave a straight trail of bites.

Thanks, I have spoken to the pest man at the council and he seemed to think we would know if we had them

I f you had them you would notice the bites first - usually in clumps of 3. You would also see the bugs - they are pretty fat when they've bitten you. You'd also see blood spots on the sheets from where they've bitten.

I work in student accommodation so I'm pretty au fait with the yucky things and have had many an imaginary outbreak in my house!

No bites, bugs or blood so hopefully we will be okay
