Sainsbury's online shopping

Not sure if this is the right place, but does anyone know what Sainsbury's delivery charges are like for online shopping? I guess it depends on what time you want your delivery, but a ballpark will do.

I get mine from them delivered on Tuesday or Wednsday, where the cost is £6,but if you spend over £40 it reduces to £3.50

Oh those don't sound too bad. I used to do Ocado but due to new baby and house move we need to start cutting some costs. Ocado always promises delivery from about £1 but you have to have your food delivered at 11pm to get that price, it's normally around the £6 mark.

I find that shopping online I spend less. Not tempted by the nice in-store displays and find it easy to find specials on Sainsburys online. That way I don't mind the delivery fee so much, but do try to get mid week delivery and as we're a large family, spend over £100 so free.

Yeah, I've always found that too, plus with Sainsbury's we can collect Nectar points.

just want to post my recent experience re sainsbury's and their online service.

i wanted to buy an item that was £4 on-line. to have it delivered would have effectively meant i had to pay double for the item. i went in store, but its an on-line only item and they dont have an option to deliver to store.

anyway, spoke to customer service advisor, who basically said: "too bad". explained situation to manager and he gave me the £3.95 postage cost from the till. i ordered item on saturday just gone, it arrived monday afternoon. i was truly impressed.

I too find I spend less when I online grocery shop - I do week about ith Asda dn sainsburys.
Last week, DH said " I'll take oyu to asda" . £107 later we got home and I said, if I'd gone online I could have shaved at least £30/40 off that

oooh, am liking the 'i spend less when i shop on-line' thingy. i always, but always apend more than i intend to (and more than i can afford). may try shopping on-line if i come across a free delivery code with my next set of vouchers.

RS.... join top cash back and you can get some extra deals, plus cash backs on your first order. Not a massive amount, but if you do one Tesco, one Sainsbury's, one Asda etc etc you could get about £30-40 cashback for something you were going to buy anyway.

i do ocado and pay £8.99 per month, with as many deliveries as you like, minimum spend £40.

i really dont believe they are more expensive than any others and at least they actually deliver what you order....had terrible service with Sainsbos

I love Sainsburys as they offer one-hour slots, and if they are late you get a £10 voucher off your next delivery. My drivers always ring in advance if they know they are going to be late (not often, but never more than about 10-15 mins usually)

They are fab at refunding money if you find that anything is missing from your order too.

I've found that if you sign up with Ocado then they (usually) send you weekly offers for 10-15% off your shop. If you shop carefully there then they're not really more expensive...

I do the Ocado £8.99 a month thing too, it's great, I've tried most of them and I find Ocado the best, I actually spend less than I did with Asda.
