Hi,
Cant see anything wrong with the actual washing machine, cleaned it all by hand, the used kim and Aggies method of a boil wash with vinager, then brought a service wash in a bottle thing that you put in the machine and is supposed to clean all the drum and pipes etc.. but still everytime I wash anything it comes out smelling of nothing . By that I mean it doesnt smell horrible but it doesnt smell of my lovely washing powder either.

Any suggestions?

TIA X

Could you just be used to the smell of your washing powder/fabric conditioner?

Have you got a cold?
I change my fabric conditioner all the time as I find I get used to it and can no longer smell it.

What's the name of the service wash in a bottle? I think I need to clean my washing machine through as it has started smelling after DD put the washing on a tumble cycle..... I've tried the Kim & Aggie thing, but need something a bit stronger I think!

Maybe try without the fabric conditioner for a while, when you switch back you'll be hit by the fragrance.

I used to use ecover washing powder, but stopped because it didn't smell of anything (and was so expensive..). Now I use any old non-bio, but no conditioner as I find the smell too strong.

Lemonylemon I clean my washing machine by using soda crystals and running a hot wash, it works really well. Soda crystals aren't very expensive. HTH

Machine is empty of clothes of course, in case I didn't make that obvious

Have you got the extra rinse button pressed in unintentionally? I hate the smell of perfume on my washing and extra rinse to lessen it.

I put my powder drawer in dishwasher once a month too to keep it scum free.

I've also found out that the concentrated fabric conditioner should be diluted before use as it is too thick to go through the machine properly and causes a build up so I have poured half my bottle of fabric conditioner into an empty bottle and diluted in in advance. Hopefully, no more clogged pipes and scummy drawers for me!
