Tuesday Fly - the weekend is one day closer(21 Posts)
Benn up since 5, I am getting mightly not happy with DS1 and these early wakings, when twinned with my insomnia it is not good.
I have popped a couple of candle pics on profile.
To Do today
Get boys dressed
whats for lunch
Take DS1 to cinema - fantastic Mr Fox
Back whats for dinner
DS1 and friend to swimming
Take mum home
BBL - WW3 again
Tea I couldn't cope with the 5 am thing. Remember my DS went through a big phase of it a few months ago. In the end we had a reward chart for him staying quietly in his room until an alarm clock in his room went off at 6.30 - this worked for a few weeks. We have also moved his bedtime in the last few weeks after it started up again, he now goes at 7.30 instead of 7 and it has really worked.
Candles are very pretty but tbh not my cup of tea really - I am not a chintzy type (got a Hornsea pottery one and I'll be there!)
Well off to leeds today so getting cracking.
LOL at myself - not my cup of tea. Unintentional very poor joke!
What I don't get is how you have a discussion on a thread about the books if you haven't all read the same ones?! Sorry for being thick
Mad - lovely tea cup candles, you could try and sell on your blog or donate to school Christmas fair (they might even let you have a stall if you have a lot to sell, you'd need to give them a cut obviously). Thats the trouble with hobbies, the fun is in the making then you don't know what to do with the finished items . I'm giving out knitted scarves for Xmas lol.
Moening Wendy - I am impressed with your party lifestyle lol.
Morning Wolf - hope ds is better now.
finish house bleugh
First though we are writing letters to santa. My task is to make sure they ask for the presents I have bought them .
Think someone has been and replacedmy DH with a similar , yet more sensitive version in the night! He has got up early with the DC, brought me coffee and toast in bed, and has now taken dog out for a walk in very misty grey weather....whilst Iam still in bed on my lappy LOL! Bless him!
I am about to get upand showered though as I have alot to do!
TM teacup candles look great - I am not a candle person really , but I bet they would sell...
wolf thanks for thread
wendy yes you are a jet setter these days LOL
scatty beach???obviously you have better weather than we do today LOL
so my tasks forthe day:

Iron school Tshirts
Hang up all uniform
clean laundry away
reboot laundry ...again!

order new pair of shoes for ds2
Good clean of bathrooms (have been neglecting s&s for a couple of days
Tidy my room
2 bags of dc summer clothes to go in loft
OK...think I ought to make a start then LOL
jas Thanlks for book club info...I do sort of get it LOL Does each book then have a seperate thread to post discussion of that book on? So all I need to start is one book, that I then post on and I get a different book in return....then we all swap books every month for 12 months....sounds a good way to have a supply of different books to read! I'd love to be in it if everyone in group agrees....will give me more motivation to get the end of the book if I have to post it on at end of month LOL Will pop over and look at book club threads
awwww DD 3 and 3 are drawing my pictures with love hearts on and "posting" them under my bedroom door bless LOL
Really must get up now LOL
Busy weekend at work...and now trying in vain to entertain 3 small children for the week[sigh]
I'm having a crap week of migraines which has left me in a daze and in no mood for noise or moving very far from the sofa
I think I might have to go out though, the kids are climbing the walls!
Yes, Galen that is it....there are 12 threads, one for each book, so it isn't a fast paced discussion, and some people don't post anything at all about the books, which is disappointing.
That is prbably its weakest point tbh, if you really want a good discussion, but the range of books has been good, and it is lovely t get a surprise book in the post oonce a month.
(We don't post the book title on the thread so unless you are really determined to work it out, you won't know what the other books are until you get them.)
Mum and dad here today. Hoping to go to the cinema.
We are the Second Chapter....so it interested, sign up on the Part three thread.
Just looked at you candles, TM. They are lovely.....what gave you the idea to use tea cups?
Price sounds ok to me
thanks jas have posted on sign up thread

Galen - your dh and dds are sounding lovely today , hope it lasts.
Quite an eventful day for us so far. Managed to write Santa's letters. DD quite happy to include my suggestions (ie presents already bought!) Though she did insist on adding a horse . Then she oblitterated the writing with stampers lol. DS took ages over his (stopping to consult the Argos catalouge several times), thanfully started with the things he'd already asked for (which I've bought) but then added a Wii game (we don't have a Wii) and put plese, so it must be important .
Then we went to the beach (in the rain) and made sandcastles and plodged in the sea . Unfortunately we had to come home quickly when ds unexpectedly vomited in the cafe! He seems to be fine now.
some washing put away
living room and kitchen quick tidy
dry dishes put away
washing up done
ds taken to granny's
just been to post dvd back to lovefilm
will be working late but will try to do more when I get home
Hi all - what's new pussycats?
am v impressed with candles Mad. We knocked up about 9 yesterday, plus some little ones in Gu pots! Yours look very dainty and pretty though - our local charity shops yielded just one blue willow cup and saucer. Everything else was too chunky and ugly. What sort of prices are you paying? I got wax from Hobbycraft, so prob paid too much £
We ended up buying penguin cups and saucers for teachers gifts . Have also ordered gorgeous xmas ribbon linky to wrap in cello bags. I bet you cannot resist that link Mad .
Spent today (after little drowners) shopping for baking ingredients (and a suit for me ) and have baked giant cupcake (Mark III) for dd birthday. Q tricky actually. Then used M&S cupcake book and made a dozen baby pink cupcakes with pink sugar crystals sprinkled on top. Am q please actually. They are dummy run for dd birthday party.
Other than that, have allowed dds to participate a little in baking and separating them when they kick off - grrr
Been to Leeds to City Museum (excellent) and Art Gallery (lovely). DC bearable but a bit naughty. There was a sticky moment with DS shaking a sculpture, only for DD to copy, as usual! Don't think either of them are feeling too wonderful actually.
Just made cheese and marmite scones and lentil soup. Off shopping for a friend's birthday with another friend. Big night out on Friday night! What a whirlwind life I have lately! Goth wedding on Saturday night, too!
Scatty am at early Santa letters - prob just because my DC both have birthdays in November - tend to do Xmas stuff after DD's birthday!
Wendy Sounds like a good day to me
Scatty we love the seaside even in the winter
galen I bet the love hearts were wonderful
Jas I saw a candle in a t-cup at a cafe and it looked really twee

I have had such a busy day, playing dens and building Lego this morning
Took DS1 and neice to see Fantastic Mr Fox, which we all loved
Then back, only to find out that I needed to take DS1 swimming, as mate was stuck in traffic
So make naan bread and curry
Took him Swimming
back and Dinner for all
Took mum to the bank and home
Swimming with both boys in the morning!
tea love the candles.
had very productive discussion with lady from electric company. She discovered they owe us money as they did not give us the discount we were entitled to yay! She also discovered that we are not really getting the benefit of the economy 7 as we don't have storage heaters. Turns out we could have saved over 100 in the last year if we had had a single rate meter - I asked her to recalculate a years bills based on a single rate and she obliged. On my maths we would have saved about 200. So they are going to fit us with a new single rate meter. She was very helpful which is par for the course for that particular company. Much better than the last lot of cowboys.
On the basis of the refund we have ordered pizza!
