Good morning everyone. I didn't make it back on here yest evening as dh was hogging the pc and I went swimming to start using my paid for pool membership. I can't keep count of lengths so I just did as many as I could in the half hour I had.

Done:-
~ unloaded and reloaded d/w
~ recycling stuff

To do:-
~ go to town for appointment
~ go swimming just before appointment to make the journey more worth while
~ do some food shopping - make a list first
~ walk the dog
~ ironing
~ hoovering
~ washing up
~ get dressed (no point showering as I did that last night and will be later, too)

Sunny and crisp
Today is going to be a bit more stressful
I fear, but just going to jump in
dcs to school (happily)
supervised dcs' piano and violin practice
load of laundry in and last night's hung up

First
get dressed properly
dishes in dw
work all morning
room rescue playroom
order new car key pm
change dd's bed (last of the home bless)
sweep terrace outside
make refreshments for dd's visitors (sandwiches sausage rolls juice)
do dcs homework straightaway at 4.30

Dh listened to my kitchen plan idea last night and had some good ideas about repositioning fridge. What exciting conversations we have
We've blocked up a bit of kitchen with a piece of temporary hardboard to see if we can live without the openplanness before we go ahead.

Swim sounds tempting Simply

Hi everyone,

Sorry didn't make it back on yesterday. I was good though and did quite a bit of revision and a bit of housework. just under 2 weeks before my exam now.
Anyway for the next couple of weeks have decided to let the housework slide a little and I am giving DHs work shirts out to be ironed as the pile is getting beyond me at the moment.

simply I would love a swim unfortunately there is no pool nearby I suppose I could jump into the sea if I got desperate but it look rather deep and rocky so on second thoughts maybe not.

swan are you planning on redoing you kitchen (sorry if I missed it on a previous thread) I love redecorating rooms and knocking down walls etc

wendy I find that too when I have one to many late nights I get very cranky fell much better if I get to bed at a decent hour. Now I sound like my mum I used to think it was so sad when mum would go to bed at 10 or 10.30 and swore I would never be in bed before 12 as an adult. Oh how times change!

Anyway today
breakfast done
kids to school done
general tidy
make beds
load of washing
ironing dc's clothes done
lunch
dinner
revision

Morning Peeps.

Having a steady morning. Done my morning routines, got GOjr to school, meeting with the head and home. The house is acceptable so I'm just lurking

TM GOjr has been put on the G+T register for his reading . He's struggling with his current book and I'm pleased about that tbh. I do reading friends and work with older pupils who can barely read. I think it's so very sad that they are missing out on a whole world of adventure and stories . Be proud of maxi mini mad, he'll go a long way.

Poor you galen you all seem under the weather lately.
Been very cranky with DD this morning. Need to get on and do some sticking or something. Veggie Moussaka is cooking in various bits, just needs assembling. Bread rolls rising. Still need to decide what's for lunch! Feeling very tired!

Morning all
Thank you Simply for the thread. Sorry I haven't kept up with you all the past two days. Hope those that are unwell get better and those that are well stay that way.
I agree with TM Wendy & all there is far to much pressure on little kids, all we can sometimes do is muddle our way through. DH's friend at work a Special Needs teacher has given us two tips for letters. Make letters out of playdough & hide letters around the house that have to find. I also heard on T.V (and in the papers some months ago) 10 mins academic work 15min or so active play outdoors. I think that will shake off the mood that goes with house work. I think we might even go out in the dark what the heck!
I'll be back in a mo with my list

Morning all

Sorry haven't been on for a couple of days - Having technical difficulties with our wireless meaning that we only have PC working which DH has needed for work - He has deemed his paid work is more important than my mumsnetting - I've tried explaining its what keeps me sane but hes not going for it.

Thanks for the comments about DH and ignoring the housework - I gave in in the end as yesterday was our actual anniversary and I didn't think being mid arguement would be good.

Busy at school again today so only a little flying, although I go on hols in a week and I know that DH is gonna insist on the house being spotless (for the burgulars) so better try and find some time.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Galen. Simply swimming time sounds great if just for time to yourself. Well done grouchy for being organised, enjoy your day pottering. Hi to everyone else.

To do today

Washing - Doing at moment
Tidy kitchen
Make fresh bread
Whats for Dinner
DD to nursery
Me to school
DD back from nursery
De-flea the cat
Fold clothes that are currently sat in basket
spanish homework

Hello to everyone.

Well done on the revision leo.

Enjoy your sidling go.

The pool isn't too cold for me thankfully galen. I dream of the warmth of the the Center Parcs dome but have to do with reality! I do realise as leo said that I'm lucky to have a pool nearby. One woman in the changing room last night came in, had a quick swim (doing lots of lengths) and was getting dressed up ready to go to the opera which was a 10 minute walk away, so we are really lucky. As we're a couple of hours away from everywhere we do tend to have quite a lot going on in our small area.

Revised done list:-
~ ironing
~ eaten and drunk elevenses

To do next:-
~ hoovering
~ washing up

Any lurkers - please say hello! Bbl.

Hello again.
Did a little bit of flying at work too, within my new office. Two boxes sorted, flung, given away and filed Taken the day off today for School Harvest Festival.
Of course yesterday I got home at 8pm unplanned work had to be completed before going home. Not so quick, dash to 24 hrs Tesco and baked a Victoria Sponge cake at 10.30pm! Brought this morning for £3.00!!! It would have been heart breaking if no one brought it.
So very little flying today I think I'm going to do 1 set of 45mins then go out & enjoy the autumn sun.
Beds made [done]
D/W unloaded & reloaded
Tidy Kitchen
20 mins running around the house putting things away.
Whats for tea? Fish & Mash with carrots

OK you asked for it - here

Has got worse though as the bank has refused to offer any help what so ever. In order to cover costs when DH went unpaid we sillily used CC. They wont take that into account I have that perm feel of panic in my tummy. I am baking

TM could you cancel new operation - although I know from previous posts that it has been a brave decision to get to point of allowing it to go ahead, until you feel more financially secure?
I think worrying about finances is not going to help your recovery from op, nor is dh having to go back to work asap because of them.
internet food delivery and give up on car repair for a while till after op (I presume dh has his own for his commute)
most importantly tell your family you really really need their practical help or a dish each for freezer during op (or financial at a pinch)- that's the hardest task of all imo.
