help with getting smoke smell put of clothes?? ASAP please

Brought some clothes for dd1 from ebay, and they smell strongly of cigrettes even though I have watched them twice. Any ideas's welcome.

try soaking them in a white vinegar and water solution for a couple of hours and them machine washing them with white vinegar in the fabric softener compartment.

vinegar is a natural deodorant and is excellent for getting rid of smells in fabric. it also softens fabric - i use it instead of fabric softener, the clothes don't smell of vinegar when dry just a nice fresh smell.

Eeowww - not nice. Hang on the line whenever the weather allows? Lots of fabric conditioner? Febreeze? Soak in vinegar and then wash Or in soda crystals?. Errr... hope something works!

after 4 washes mostly ok, but leather coat still smells!! some things are just yucky. Will try vinger, thanks girls
