Thursday Fly - Summer loving, wella, wella,wella(44 Posts)
My DC are driving me mad screaming and shouting - they are so LOUD! Think DS is really ready to go back to school now really and DD will be better off with some structure and routine to her days too.
Make minestrone soup
still to sweep and mop downstairs!
Still to vacuum stairs and porch
it's raining - go out somewhere?
post office for a parcel
stick the hedgehog thingies together
right off to get showered and dressed
Right back to normal in the Starbear household. DH has gone to work. All change next week as DS has his first day at school. I'll be doing some serious flying and exercise, put on 2 stones in last five years
had a long conversation with friend, mum of Ds's friend from nursery. Glad we are going to stay in touch. Must book somewhere to have ds's party so parents come too. Only going to invite old friends at the mo. Ds's birthday is October.
Wendy I'm going to write that title into my receipe book
Put on W/M
Breakfast Wash & Dress (well it's still hols for us)
Get Ds's haircut
shopping for socks & picnic food
make pumkin stew.
make muffins for picnic.
Hi Wendy What are these Hedgehog thingies you speak of?
I would get out of the house, anywhere, even in the rain. We had heavy rain yesterday looks okay this morning. It really feels like autumn already
Hi star nothing exciting, just off mister Maker. Paint leaves and press down on paper to print shapes then leave to dry. Cut out leaf shapes and arrange and stick on a piece of paper into a hedgehog shape with a cone shaped nose. DC enjoyed the leaf printing bit yesterday and are itching to get on with assembling the hedgehogs!
You're right, need to get out and about. Library closed on Thursdays, otherwise might just do a walk in the rain lol
Morning star and wendy. Raining here too! Where has the summer gone?
I think we're going to walk up to the shops in the rain (its not heavy atm). BBL
move furniture into centre of ds2's room
shake out tablecloth
put a wash in
dcs to school on time, but routine needs to be completely restablished ie: making beds, waterbottle filling, getting dressed as we are ALL OVER THE PLACE (well I am) Dd is playing up again, ds1 is being grimy adolescent refusing to wash, ds2 is driving us mad talking about Hornby at 7.00am and trying to set up electrical circuits and transformers in our bedroom
Scatty Ds1's plaster comes off on 28th with just a week to spare before he goes on an Outward Bound Course with school, so I hope he'll be able to still do all the climbing stuff. Very simple break - going to doctor this afternoon with hm to assess.
x posts everyone! Just trying to think of witty rejoinder to wella wella has wasted 5 mins.
I am a bit this morning. Mother is compalining that when DH is home that she is supluss to requirements - very true
DH is parenting in a lax manner - more smoothies than I allow, more screen time than I allow - all making me out to be the bad mummy I love him and I tried to explain.
We have loads to do today, so will crack on
Kids are back at school, and I need to get back to FLYing.
I considered the babystep thread, but would rather stick with you guys tbh.
Tday is crisis cleaning all day, then in the loft this evening.
Tomorrow I will start routines and lists.
Sorry not replying to everyone else.....I've lost track and don't want t spend all morning reading to catch up
I have just sprayed the desk and computer with tea sneezed while drinking!
How do All
A quick hello to you . I'm off to work soon. I've done the morning routines, emptied bins and pottered. I'm going to make the Economy Gastronomy cookies this afternoon
I'll say bye for now
just wanted to pop by & say Hi
sorry not read thread-spending so much time on phone to solicitors & estate agents my head hurts. Still not exchanged!
Hope you are well & your lo's. Any fly babies who are starting school this week hope all goes well.
A few useful things done,
paid school dinners,
laundry put on
feeling very harassed by prescence of lovely painter (who has done loads of things for me before)who keeps throwing up new problems for me to solve, just when I am trying to escape.. damp in corner of kids' bedroom ceiling do I have some buildng sand to patch a corner of masonry, if it's rainng he mght starton something inside...aargh - then I need to organize kids' bedrooms...so not dust everywhere.
I am so cr**p at multitasking that it is throwing me into panic.
Well, will just have to press on.
EHM - feel guilty to moan, you ARE a heroine to deal with house exchange and annoying solicitors. Hope it will be OVER soon.
ehm hope it comes together soon.
swan You've got shot of the kids, now you have a painter to entertain lol.
tea let dh have his way, it won't do the boys any harm and you deserve the break.
buy food done
I have cleared out a load of t shirts, trousers and shorts from DDs draw, she won't need it all when she starts school.
Going to ASDA to get more boxes soon (going to sort the loft this weekend). Raining properly now.
when to 2 different ATM today so I could do some shopping (foreign carn so most shop here wilol not accept it) both were out of order now i have a fiver in my wallet and no milk for tommorrow. Will have to ask dh to pick some up on the way home.
Blitz the house done
wash crocs ongoing
dw loaded and running
dinner lamb not sure what to do with it yet though any suggestions???
Hello.... Sorry things haven't gone smoothly for you EHM I hope it is sorted out soon.
I have done the loft sorting, and tidied most of the house.
Still to do:
Then tomorrow I can start stripping wallpaper in our bedroom ready to replaster it.
just on my lunch break - actually getting one for once
tea I understand your frustration with dh, I don't know why they struggle to understand that consistency is important.
bed made (promptly unmade again by ds)
quick tidy in liveing room
shirt ironed for me and one for dp
wm unloaded reloaded and on
dry washing folded, wet washing hung up
ds taken for first day back at nursery - not a happy boy at all
Late night at work tonight but dp has purchased dinner so I don't have to cook. Will just have to move tonights tea to another day on my menu plan!
grouchy let me know what the cookies are like, I have the book so may have a go at making if they are yummy. We are still eating the hob-nobs I made on Sunday.
Hello, I'm back, only breifly as I have to pick up in 45
Wolf can I have the recepie for the hob-nobs please. here is Allegra's cookie idea. I've not done it yet as I seem to have run out of butter
I have made a slab of Rocky Road Crunch tho. It's cooking in the fridge at the moment
Ed seems to love his new teacher which is great. He seems like a nice guy.
Right, off again
dones quite alot of stuff,
need to do more, just checking in really
back in the saddle properly on Monday.- I hope
Found a stash of butter in the freezer Will make the dough after the school run
EHM house buying can be very stressful hope it all works out soon
Oscar it great when kids take to a new teacher straight away
Mine go back on monday but they have a wierd way of orientation here and seem to be only at preschool with me for 1 hour for the first 3 days which is a PITA and how am I supposed to be with both of them when they are in seperate classes
anyway crocs washed
bathmats in the wash
still in the house, had to wait in for a delivery (my fab new phone!! Can't wait to get a minute to phone to activate it then play with it later!) now it's so windy I can't be bothered to struggle outside! Not readjusted to this auutumn/winter weather yet, can't believe we go about a normal life in this wind and rain in the winter!
Done sticking and made lovely hedgehogs, and some weird sand art pictures, dc playing with toys but DS is so violent and loud he is doing my head in! He is leading DD astray, she is getting violent too. Think it will be a good thing for him to be back to school to occupy him! Fed up of feeling like I am failing with him, he is really pushing the boundaries.
EHM can't believe you still haven't exchanged, things rarely go to plan with houses, it's maddening. Hope you can keep it all together
grouchy cookies sound good, have they already featured on a programme? Didn't see this week's yet. What is the book like, wolf - lots of meaty recipes? Will have to see if library has it.
TM don't worry - dh will be back to work next week and all will be well! Life's too short to worry about it sometimes.
better go and talk to DS
Glad Ed enjoying school Grouchy. How old are yours leo, school warm up sounds tricky! Is your ds 4 wendy? Mine was crazy at 4! (much saner now at 6).
I have been through the playroom like a dose of salts! Everything is in boxs so that they can find stuff. Just a small matter of keeping it that way though .
Baked pots for tea .
Need to phone the very zen man who left a very calm message about Tai Chi (will wait until scooby doo finished as will spoil the atmoshphere!).
