Morning Leo .
dc friends to play
continue washing sofa covers
tea How tidy is your craft cupboard? How do you stop them pulling it all out?
Blinking Flip Scatty you got here 4 mins before me!
Up and make bed
Down with crockery and laundry
Load WM and run
Help Ed dress
Wash , teeth and meds
Make Ed's sky bed and rearrange the cuddlies
Try and find dress and realise we need a huge wardrobe cull
Taking Ed to a greasy spoon for his brunch then I'm going to go berry picking with him today
Morning Scatty and Grouchy and all who follow.
Sorry I've not been around much this week - don't know where the week has gone really! Well i've spent a lot of it with my nose in a book (read 4 books since Monday night!) so that will probably be it. I'm shattered now, though from too many late nights!
Showery weather here, not sure what to do with dc today. Haven't been too inventive with activities this week - I'm waning on the school hols front now!
Need to package up some presents and send them off asap and go to the post office (yuk, always huge queues) to post them.
Hope all are well, have read threads from this week so welcome Leo I am a regular usually!
Bit of a weird day today... dh was meant to be home today to visit his mum in hospital .. but somehow managed to not come home at all last night (got a garbled text at 2am that he was staying in a hotel as there was a fight in the club he was in)
He was originally "just going out for a few drinks after work"
So sod him its sunny here so:
Taking the dc's out this morning and will visit MIL on my own this afternoon ( will have to check I can take the dc's with me though.. its a general ward?)
House pretty ok, I did 15 min bursts in the end and it worked a treat.
Bugger have checked no children under 12.
I am going to kill not so D H
Scatty The secret is to leave the things they regularly use accesable ie the pens and paper. I moved all the paints as they would always have them out!!! Plus I do have to regularly tidy it up, but at least the boys use the stuff
Wendy Oh what books have you been reading. I think that we will start regularly back at the library one school starts
Morning Leo, sag IO would go on my own with the children too.
Groucy Berrys not ready here yet - pah
We are going to have a full day today as my neice goes on holiday on Monday, so
Softplay with all this morning, followed by speical lunch
Making golden coins
Washing hung out
BBL - I need to get some bits done before we go
am starting to get back into things,
washing machine on
rest of the kitchen needs lots of attention
Must start with the dining room/my cake room, the lady is picking the cake up at 11.30 and I don't want her to see the room like that.
Hi Tea I take it your boys are all recovered and you didn't catch it? Was it as bad as the hype? Have a good day with your niece! I've been reading the Twilight books - really good!
Meant to be at a party tonight from 6pm including the children, not looking forward to it as they will be shattered and they already are tired. Plus I'm meant to be on a diet to fit in my dress for a wedding we're going to next week! Lost 2 lbs so far which isn't very good at all!
saga very annoying, hope you get hosp visit sorted.
It's black clouds here now.
we are off to \whitby today although the weather is atrocious. If it gets too bad on the way we may just stop off on route and call it quits.
quick kitchen tidy
kitchen surfaces given a quick clean
Wendy It is not as bad as the hype, that is if it was flu - both have nasty coughs still, but neigbour said it is fine to resume life as normal. We had some nasty nights and all that, but no worse than anything we have experianced before!!
Off to soft play now
raining here too. Ds2 very grumpy as he is only happy outside these days LOL He picked most of my tomatoes in the garden yesterday - sadly most werent ripe yet...sigh...
DH meant to be golfing later....will see how weather goes - so I have been given a couple of hours peace this morning in return hehe!
So am sitiing in bed, MNing LOL
still feeling a bit bleugh and lacking in motivation....though am ploughing through washing mountain bit by bit.
General views on the car seem to be that it will cost between £700 and £1000 So not sure where we're going to scrape that money together from......
tea Glad boys are on the mend. My niece had swine flu and wasnt that bad either (doc gave her tamiflu but my sister didnt give it her in the end)
sag grrrr at D(not) H ....hope you make him feel suitably guilty when he returns!
wendy hope party goes OK tonight and Dc arnt too difficult....I must get into reading again really ...I've been reading Cloud Atlas for ages ..... it is good, but big and needs concentration - something I am Lacking just now LOL
Ok think I will go have long relaxing shower ...and maybe read a page of my book LOL
I have still not mannaged to leave the house. I weighed today and I have lost 4lbs in since sunday it must be all the extra FLYing I am doing
Anyway I need to do a proper supermarket shop today
pick up laundry
meed to go shoping for some new clothes for dc as they start school in just over a week
hang out washing
tea glad you boys are feeling better
sag oh what a PITA
Galen, thanks for the info! Very comprehensive. I feel all prepared for any eventuality .
Bloomin children untidying as fast as I tidy and we have guests (again!) - all last catch ups before end of hols!
back from supermarket, managed to get DS1's school uniform there so we don't have to go back to M&S tomorrow.
Lady has picked up the christening cake, she was really pleased, hpe it tastes as nice as it looks!!
shopping all put away, washing out of machine and waiting for the current shower to finish so I can peg it out.
TeaMonster, good to hear the boys are on the mend, hope you have a lovely day with your neice.
TPT, hope you are well, I had given up trying to tidy away after the boys this holiday but it is finally getting me down, hence my return to the fold!
Leo - 4LB is great! what are you doing to loose the weight?
Galen bloomin heck that is alot to fix the car! does it need doing or can you drive without doing it for a while? (sorry not seen how it happened)
Wolf - I love Whitby, lived there for a few years having grown up in Scarborough, hope you managed to get there.
Wendy - can you go to the party for a short while and come home early to get the children to bed?
Grouchy - how is boris these days? hope he has been giving you a break!
hiya back from the supermarket so far have managed

1 washing load and hung it out
load and run dishwasher
need to do
pick up dry cleaning
clothes shopping will have to wait today
Thanks greyskull I am not really doing much to loose weight just trying to eat more fruit and veg and more housework its wierd as when I was actively trying o loose I could not shift a pound. This morning my eyes nearly fell out of my head when I stepped on the scales I go on and off about 6 times just to be sure, anyway knowing my luck it will have gone back on by tomorrow.
Hello Again ALL
Just got back from a trip out with Ed. I took him for his huge sausage sandwich, then he wanted to visit his best mate from pre-school then we went to Toysaurus and IKEA. Just got back. IKEA was totally uninspiring and I found my trip to WSilkinsons more stimulating
Taking Ed to Rugby Training in an hour so I better dash. TTFN
Had a lovely morning with dc's
Found a fab cafe and had a lovely lunch
dh has been back and grovelled
He's gone to see his mum and then back to work
(he was out at the hotel casino till 6am last night ) so only woke up at 10.30am this morning.. to say I'm not impressed is an understatement.
prof you're welcome ! I dint include any tips on what to do if your car blows up on the French motorway , but could cover that too LOL! Hope you all have a great time
sag I would say he has some serious grovelling to do for days to come LOL
greyskull sadly the car isn't at all drivable, it is currently being towed back from France - and will not be back for another 10 days. It blew the head gasket just one mile form Disneyland Paris. All a bit of a nightmare really, being rescued off French mortorway, sorting out how to get back home at end of hol etc...Only good thing was that we had taken out breakdown insurance which paid for us to fly home and to tow the car back.
Still struggling to get motivated here.....really actually looking forward to start of term , just to be able to get back into swing of things properly....
Sadly Dh golf got rained off, so he is still here - had hoped to do a blitz while he was out......
right off to do something useful !!
ok so picked up the dry cleaning and made dinner now just need to empty the dishwasher and get some serious work done towards my assignment otherwise I will fail and if I fail this one I fail the course
please kick my arse if you see me on MN again today.
Galen I know exactly what to do if car blows up on autoroute - blame DH, sit on cry on edge of aforementioned autoroute
Guests gone - lovely afternoon, but dc made awful mess (mine not friends), so tomorrow will be clear up and get organised day.
Oh the things I am going to get done when they go back to school!
prof LOL _ that is EXACTLY what I did when it came to it!!
*whitby was fab and not a drop of rain there all day.
I also have a money saving tip for you all, don't spend loads on microdermabrasion, just stand on the beach in Whitby in high winds - voila! baby soft skin
