Hi everyone , just wondered if there is anyone out there that can help me.
For a few weeks now the washing machine is not using the fabric softner, sorry its hard to explain,I put a wash on and put powder in the drawer then the softner in where its meant to be and after the wash the clothes are full of wash powder even though I have only used a small amount and the drawer is still full of softner??!!!
Hope that makes sense,
Is it time for a new machine or is it a fixable problem.
Thanks.

can you check whether the water jetholes above the softener part of the draw have become blocked?

Ok there is a possibility that you actually have a blockage in the "out pipe" iyswim?

Ie a sock / blocked filter.

If that is the case then the water won't leave quick enough on the rinse/drain on the end of the wash cycle and it may default and not get to the part of the program that tells it to rinse in the softener.

It would explain the powder still in with the clothes.

What make is it?? and how old?

It is a Bendix 1200 make is BIW126 W and it is about 3 yrs old now I think.
How do I look in the out pipe ??!!Is that the pipe that lets the dirty water out when on a rinse cycle if so then apart from taking pipe out and looking up through it how do I know if there is a blockage...hmmm?
I'm not very good at these things as you can tell .
thank you

Most things that could get stuck will get stuck in the filter. Have you emptied the filter?

Personally if its only 3 yrs old i'd get it looked at. If it was mine I would watch the entire cycle and see if it was not going in both drections etc, but tbh I think you'd best get it looked at. good luck.
