Morning EV and TM and all who follow

Dressed this morning and DC too! Weather isn't looking so good here, so planning to scoot out of the house quite soon. Too much TV is happening in this house, I need to get a grip!
We love those Orchard Games too, have loads of them. TM Bus stop one is great for boys who like numbers (we share a boy I think) We have loads of the jigsaws, too, probably about 20 of them!
Right well a TV prog is finishing, better pounce!
See you all soon lovelies

afternoon all

We are home ...yay! Got back at 4.30 this morning, after 12 hour journey. Managed to get around 4 hours sleep before DS2 demanded to get up LOL
HAs been a really exhausting and emotional week. I'm really glad to be home, though leaving was hard and emotional.

Have done a bit of house sorting so far. House wasn't left quite such a disaster as I remembered thankfully!
Hundreds of loads of washing to catch up on...
Have also done DD3's belated Bday presents today...party to follow at wk/end.

All DC extremely exhausted, and grumpy but trying hard to stay patient despite exhaustion!!

Also need to get some shopping in,

Slugs have devoured 2 of my lovely courgettes that I didnt get round to harvesting before we left grrr.Still lots more coming!

Am going to have proper start of holidays tomorrow, will do some planning, and al;so sort through all DC various bags of work and stuff they brought home.

I feel a DVD afternoon coming on and very early nights all round!

Will catch up on thread later on, hope you're all OK

Galen hello you have been missed on here! glad all went as well as it could be, and hope you can get settled back into normal life. Normal ha ha!
hi prof I too had visions of plants in potties
Thanks TM done some pavement painting today - uses lots of food colouring but good fun! Kids enjoyed - DS wrote numbers with his, DD drew shapes Will do it again!
My parents arrived just as about to put DD to sleep grr now they will leave and she will be shattered, and house is trashed!
Going to make cookies with DC I think to calm them down a bit. Got a few friends and lots of littlies coming round tomorrow for play and lunch. Thinking of getting them to do their own pizzas.
llb hiya think cottage pie is beef, and shep is lamb? (Doh! just realised what type of animals shepherds look after!) But not sure as I'm veggie lol and my mum only ever referred to it as shepherds pie anyway.

DC horrid today - tired?
I walked into the conservatory patio doors earlier - ouch, feeling not so great!
Tried a new choc chip cookie recipe - it was a disaster! All the cookies ran into one big tray bake despite leaving loads of room between them and turned into a chocolatey brown mess! Bad recipe I think as my cookies are usually perfect
Oh well will make more later, and stick to usual recipe
See you later

galen Welcome home. You sound ok in your post there, glad it went as well as these things can.

wendy That's what I thought, but someone ages ago said something about cheese on top.......anyway, I call it either but only ever use beef.
Was yummy btw
Sorry about cookies. But hey, if it chocolate, it's still good?

Quite a good day here, got a few bits for ds1's party next week, just party bag stuff really, will get food on weekend.
While I was running about poundland, dp took the boys to the shopping centre food court to feed ds2, and about an hour later when he'd finally finished with that and nappies, he starting moaning about how long he had to wait for a lift and how teenagers were using it when they could quite easily use stairs and how long he had to wait for baby change room and blah blah blah. One bloody occasion, I did tell him this is he crap I have to get on with every single bloody day so stop moaning at me about it!

Evening all

DS1 is still up - DH is not being firm as he is enjoying his company too much [bad daddy as I have to deal with the tired child tomorrow emo]

Right Potty Plants - was supposed to be decorate a pot and plant in it and also plant pot stamping on a large collage at the local park with Sure start (they have no outside space), but ended up with the boysdoing drawings of plants, story reading and songs - as it was rained out. I managed to do a little bark rubbing with the boys before the rain came. They enjoyed it regardless.

I MUST do some ironing etc tomorrow

Hiya, I'm back too (from 1066 country in Sussex)! Been thinking of you all.
Left shared family holiday house immaculate cleaned out larder, debrambled garden, removed piles of junk.
Now returned exhausted to my dismal hovel which seems very small and dirty and not even a big enough garden for brambles

But we had a great time there, lots of swimming -and friends came to visit on Sunday for the day.
But I have to say that my urban children are not good at running wild when there are jobs to be done. They sit beseechingly waiting for me to invent some exciting woodland challenge. And are no help whatsoever, very badly trained. A rather fractious morning today clearing up, only relieved by a nice long walk to train station.

Do love reading your blog TM.
Have you seen Evan Almighty PROF? re:arks
