How do you clean the straps on a Safety 1st booster seat? I can't get them off!

We've got a safety 1st booster seat, the one that folds up flat. It's been stored in the loft for a while and the straps are a bit minging.

The straps that tie the booster to a chair come off easily but the ones that go round the child seem to be attached.

Does anyone know if they come off if you open up the seat? And how you do this without breaking it?

TIA

I cleaned mine with hot soapy water( soap powder).

Just use a cloth and rub the straps down.

Occasionally put the whole thing in the garden and hosed it down!!

Mine never came off BTW.

JUst treat those strappy bits as part of the main seat.

I put it in the dishwasher! It worked fine.

how are you btw? you moved yet?

It didn't fill with water in the dishwasher? That's sounds very hassle free.

I'm good. We moved on Tuesday and I start work tomorrow . New house is great and we feel like we're on holiday which can't be a bad thing. Not sure how long we can keep that feeling for though realistically.

Just read your 4am thread. I have no advice, but am feeling your annoyance.

No, did not fill with water, or if it did it drained again. To be honest, DH did it and I saw the after-effects, but what I know is, he did not eff it up!

House sounds good! Shame you have to work so soon!

4am, yeah a bugger. Luckily i had a 3 hour nap yesterday so managed to cope with it a bit better than poor DH!

I use a mix of washing up liquid and a tiny bit of bleach and clen with an old toothbrush. I do it while I watch telly in the evening.

Great. I found the booster seat and think I might need to use it a bit more now we've moved. We had 6 children in the house the other day!
My sister lives around the corner and I think life is about to get a whole lot more sociable.

Kind of the point of the move.

Will put the seat in the next load. The other straps came up sparkly in the washing machine.
