I have just cleaned out a room and inspite of scrubbing and polishing, it still has a greasy teenage bedroomy smell. It is part of an annexe which was finished just a year ago and the smell may be related to new plaster/paint but I would have thought it would be gone after a year. The floor is half lino and half carpet. Can anyone give me any tips?
Open the windows every day?
They have been open since Sunday and it still smells ....am going to get the carpet cleaned as a first bash.
Lino can sometimes have a funny smell. Try an ioniser in the room or a plug in smell thingoid. Ambi-Pur are quite nice.
I read somewhere that unidentified plasticy/burning/fishy smells are caused by the light fitting singing.
