House still a mess. I'm also not sleeping well as have too many things happening.

Hi all.
I've got back to sorting out a control journal and have started looking at the detailed cleaning lists, and trying to decide what I want done weekly and what can be monthly. I'm starting to think I have too much on my weekly lists and that most stuff can wait until in current zone like pulling out sofas to hoover, I don't need to do thatmore than once a month do I? It's a PITA!

TO DO
Put ds2 down for nap
Finish morning routine
Wipe down toys (currently weekly but can maybe wait til zone and do monthly?)
Wash plate draining tray
Clean bathroom shelves which I didn't do yesterday
15mins de-clutter in closet
Go to stop smoking clinic
Ironing
Tescos (when dp gets home as he has money)
Dig out breast-feeding pillow to use as support for ds2 learning to sit unaided (did it yesterday for about 10 slow seconds!)
Put away ds1's outgrown clothes
Evening routine

Morning!

swan thanks for your lovely comment yesterday. Hope you have a better day today

Thanks for thread maggie lbl I try to do a detailed clean each week in whatever zone we are in. So pulling out the sofas etc is only done once a month or thereabouts. Far too much effort to do it more than that!

GOING TO THE BEACH! Going to take advantage whilst the weather is gorgeous. School is still in so it should be pretty quiet too. Just waiting for the haze to clear and then we'll be off!

MaggieTulliver · 25/06/2009 09:26

Sorry Swan, wasnt a thread when I checked before I posted this one.

DD2 not herself at the moment. She had a nightmare last night about guinea pigs. She dreamt they were in her bedroom and was terrified Shes had no breakfast today and just wants to watch Mr Tumble. I have sky+ about 8 episodes so I'm going to indulge her. It means she can rest while I catch up with house.

gibberish - wish i could just pop to the beach

littleboyblue · 25/06/2009 09:36

gibb Yeah, I'm currently doing it once a week, which I'm starting to think is overkill! Or maybe I think too much!
Have a great day at the beach
maggie Good idea. Your poor dd, hope she's back to her old self soon. My ds1 spends all morning infront of the telly, sometimes ingrossed, sometmes multi-tasking and playing with his trains/tractors/cars. I am such a naughty mummy

Better get a move on, ds2 is asleep, ds1 needs to be dressed, I need to get dressed but can't find a belt (this is why I should lay clothes out the night before)

Report
gibbberish · 25/06/2009 10:09

maggie is about a 40min drive so not not quite a 'pop' Wish the clouds would clear

lbl thanks Once a week? You must be completely exhausted!

(To anyone who has just wandered into this convo we are talking about hoovering under the couches you understand )

I thnk midsummer fairies and hobgoblns must be haunting all our children and giving them all strange visions LOL (or possibly swopping them for changelings)

back from school assembly all about leaving Infants and going to Juniors lots of Beatles music thrown in [beautiful, sob]
dh is watching telly (has completely regressed to toddler stage with bad back)
and hotwater bottle

Hot wash on
now making pasta sauce before work at 11.00

MaggieTulliver · 25/06/2009 10:39

I took the castors off my sofa so it is now flat on the ground and nothing gets under it.

DD2 fell asleep in front if mr Tumble so she's definitely not herself.

Have hoovered upstairs. With my new Dyson Ball. [excited]

Now just need to change spare bed and tidy up a bit down here. My bedroom (as mission) is all done except for the corner on DHs side of the bed.

littleboyblue · 25/06/2009 11:55

Yes. I'm looking around a pretty clean and tidy flat (apart from the tuna pasta lunch ds1 has just thrown on the floor ) especially since I have 2 under 2 nd think that must be a clear sign that I do too much housework! Now that everything is getting there, I might move the bigger jobs i.e. under sofas and washing toys to only when in zone.

I might not have to be in bed by 9pm every night if I cut down what I do every day, and actually spend some time with dp. He's got the ump because we have tried to watch a film every night this week and I have fallen asleep on the sofa

Doing well today. Have rearranged some of kids toys and have just mopped downstairs.

Need new kettle so plan to take DD2 out with me in a little while.

Still to do:
hoover main bedroom
hoover downstairs
Clear hotspot on piano
Clear hotspot on stairs

tidy done
hoover done
dust done
wash up done
s&s bathroom done
mission done
yesterdays mission done

have also typed up almost a whole years notes for one of my modules last year now debating with the printer over whether or not its going to print

the man came just before 9 to fix the window door >

dd is watching Fifi on repeat and playing in altering bursts, seems much better then this morning even if she is refusing to get dressed

LBB i just do under sofas with a zone clean, unless i notice them looking mucky underneath in between

gibb enjoy th ebeach that was my plan for the day but decided not to with dd not being right this morning, another day perhaps

not much achieved
BUT put some horrible heavy boxes and bags in loft and managed to make some headway in junk room - piles of old videos and haberdashery do feel like I'm never ever going to solve the hoarding problem both me and dh unfortunately

watered garden thoroughly

now need to pick up children

Hi again.

Swan - we are both natural horders too . Thats what lofts are for .

Had a rubbish day at work. No lunch break again then went to a meeting (on behalf of someone else) and TOTALLY LOST MY RAG . The hospital managers have had a trip to TEXAS to look at car factories and now want to 'roll out' the production line concept onto our stroke ward! They have missed the point that our patients are confused usually elderly people who have recently become severely disabled and are in shock. Not bits of car. As a physiotherapist who has worked on this ward for 10yrs and who is dedicated to helping these people get back on their feet I was completely sidelined in the name of efficiency. They would rather the patients were sitting tidily by their beds rather than engaged in activity ane they would rather pack them off to residential homes than work on getting them home (this takes longer).

Phew sorry about that. i think i'll go change some sheets and calm down.

Hello to all.

scattyspice That sounds totally absurd of them. No wonder you are cross about it. Try telling them to read "In The Blink Of An Eye: An Inspiring And True Story of Enduring Love: The Miracle of a True Love Story by Hasso and Catherine von Bredow". I only read about it in my newspaper from last w/e this morning but I intend to get it out of the library and read it.

Okay. I've got lots of furniture to move around now that our bedroom is redecorated and able to be used again. Bbl if I can!

Report
littleboyblue · 25/06/2009 16:42

Not much done today here. I have done the shelves in the bathroom that I wanted to do yesterday. As for the master bedroom, the only time I really have to get in there is when ds2 is asleep which would be fine but he is asleep in that room, so not doing too much in there, but then again, not too much needs doing now, 15mins in the closet tonight and 15 mins on side cabinet tomorrow should be sufficient I should think.
