My dyson has been nothing but trouble, and I can't get the hose to work.

Can anyone recommend a budget vacuum cleaner that works well please? TIA

I will not be able to get back online until this afternoon so please don't feel ignored.

DH bought himself a HEPA cleaner when his Miele blew up. I believe he bought it at Tesco. Seems OK.

Thanks for these replies, will check out the recommendations.

May give Asda a try simply due to the fact they have been very good on the past for after sales customer service when electrical things have gone wrong.

I bought this one last week, it's AMAZING - has fantastic reviews on the site and I spent a very boring hour looking through hundreds.

I have to have it on half power as it lifts the lino from the floor.

annoyingly it was only £59.99 last week but has since gone back up to the normal price so shop around as it will be cheaper than this somewhere

I got a Vax a few months back. Just a Hoover, not a carpet cleaner but I love it. It's really lightweight but very powerful. The cord is very short but I just plug it into the extension lead.

It was £50 on offer in Semichem so it may be worth trying there?
