....abit boring, sorry. But necessary cos i keep buying stuff and nothing matches and my kitchen just looks muddled and thrown together!!
I have white glossy units (abit old fashioned now) black worktops and mid blue and white splashback tiles (bad choice!) I just don't know what colours bits and pieces to get, you know, tea/coffee/sugar jars and other things to tie it all in. I have done plain white before, but fed up with that now. I have done black. I recently bought red accessories but now i am wondering if that was a mistake because of the red/white/blue thing!!!
I just want it all to look as though someone cares lol!
Please help!

My kitchen sounds similar colours to yours and all our accessories stuff is in siver/chrome which seems to work well.

I'm crap at this stuff too Tinker...I keep buying stuff and then changing my mind! I know i probably shouldn't match too much but the kitchen is abit shabby and i think it just looks cluttered with all the mis matched stuff so thought it might help to get a 'colour'
I kind of like silver/chrome but....maybe this is where i go wrong...i WANT colour but nothing 'goes' i should just stick to silver and chrome i spose!
Thanks

If you want colour, how about going with the blue then, since you've got the blue tiles on the wall?

What colour are your currtains/blinds/flooring by the way?

No, colour is good but make it bold and because you like it. TK Maxx (my mantra on here) is great for kitchen stuff. I bought a purple and white striped bowl today for no purpose other than I liked it. Terracotta is also good - think tapas dishes etc

My floor is black.....how daring am i lol! I should have gone for something really different!!
Yeah, TKmaxx brilliant, if i ever get the chance to look about! I would have bought that purple white bowl as well
I did think about blue but it is a kind of mid blue (abit like the blue on the name headings on this site!) and you don't see too much of that about! I fancy something really different but not sure i'm brave enough!
So is it blue then?

You mean the light blue headings on this page, ie where the colour behind our user names? (Wonders if we all have the same settings!)

For me personally then I'd keep it simple with blue, black, white and silver.

Black and white is a very strong contrast already and sounds like you have a fair bit of this if the floor is black.

I'm getting the impression though that maybe you want to change some of the more fundamental elements of the kitchen though, rather than just the accessories. Is that right? If so, you could look at changing the doors, handles or tiles without it costing an arm and a leg.

wooden accessories would soften the look without adding another colour. You can get some nice bamboo bowls etc that have a gloss finish on the outside- a red one of these would help tie the look together.

Thanks for everyones help...I thinking along the lines of maybe changing door handles, and i love the idea of the wooden stuff, hadn't thought of that
