Hi all
Quieter day today hopefully. Just music class with dd, ds is going to my my Mum's as his chicken pox is still live on a few of his spots.
Otherwise, we have a cardboard box train to paint blue which we stuck together yesterday and that's about it! It still looks windy so not sure on getting out and about!

Tried all my hen party stuff on last night - I am going to freeze on Saturday - it's supposed to be very cold I think! My short cotton shift dress is not going to hold up to this wind but what can I do? Going to wear with long black cardigan which has a hood - a bit casual but nothing else which goes with it (my wardrobe is sadly limited. full of size 10s from pre children never replaced! and size 14s from after dc - now a size 12!). The cardigan is a loose style and doesn't fasten though - just open! Brrr!

Afraid not - the dress code is posh only and anyway I don't possess any leggings . And the dress is very ... snug shall we say. have eaten nothing but fruit and vegetables for two days to give myself some room for food on the day
good luck on the stitches!

wendy Is this the lady who insisted on the bags? Where what you feel comfortable in. I would have too or wouldn't enjoy myself. I would have suggested jeans with dress as thats what I would where. Never heard of anybody other than celebs insisting on dress code for hen nights.
jas have a good day with your parents.

Wendy, large and glamorous pashmina borrowed from mother or motherinlaw? Silk thermal vest?

Last time we had a bookclub here, one of guests had to take off her thermal vest.

Dd lying on sofa, a bit feverish, but slept well. No Zoo tomorrow I fear, anyway dh says lots of G2 demos in town.

Galen, how are you finding the contrast between home ed and school Galen; do you think you might return to home ed?

Done
had skirmish with dh, but resolved in humour I hope!
He reconnected telly for poorly dd and the rest of us (later)
Made up a TO BE CONTINUED story for dd on sofa
supervised vp - very sweet, dd was telling ds1 how to use his bowing arm properly.

Now
sweep kitchen floor, and sweep hall of mud
wipe table
load dishwasher
hang out clothes
tidy some toys into neat piles
mop floor
change pillowcases on dcs beds
go through dolls' clothes with dd and give some away
TACKLE LOFT PROBLEM

Morning all!

wnedy thanks for thread - take it easy today. train sounds fab!
jas I HATE defrosting freezer! Good luck LOL
EHM After my training and year in general medicine and then surgery I went on to specialise in Psychiatry, and later in Child Psychiatry. Unfortunately it is quite a competetive feild though, and difficult to work part time, or balance with family life (lots of On-Call hours, and further studying to progress up the career path!) all of which I decided took too much away from my ability to be a good mum, so I became a SAHM after DD3 was born.
wolf sorry about your rough night. Can you get a rest today?
swan It was actually really hard when they first went back to school. We LOVED a LOT of things about HE and really missed them ( they had made loads of freinds as there is a very strong Home Ed community locally with all sorts going on) It took us all quite a while to adjust but it is going well now. I had just got to point where I felt too stretched ,I felt I was no longer able to give them my best, and that the situation was no longer benefiting anyone. If I had fewer children, or if the little ones weren't so little, and so close in age it would probably have been different and would have worked well. Having said that we have all adjusted now, school is going great, and I can finally start to get on top of things like the house and garden LOL
gibberish I didnt know you HE'd. How old are your girls? Have you always HE'd. I do still miss it some days!

Not so good here today... was up for hours in the night with poor DS2 who is full of cold and had an absolutely terrible cough all night. Spent hours with him snuggled in my lap in the rocking chair as it seemed to be the only way he could settle.

Totally exhausted today as a result...and DS still sad(though hopefully has now gone off for a nap) so I dont think today will be as productive as I had hoped....sigh...
DD4 now watching her new favourite DVD ( Sleeping Beauty) and is actually sitting still and quiet so I'm having cuppa and MN time whilst I decide what to do next....

hopefully BBL if I can get my brain to wake up!

Morning all

Wendy thansk for the thread, I was goign to do one at 5:30 when ds woke up, but was too tired and grumpy!! Hope the hen night goes well, thick black tights sound like a must.

TMH hope hospital visit successful.
Jas ditto on needing to defrost the freezer, it's only a small one and I'm really struggling to fit anything else in. Tesco delivery coming tonite instead of tomorrow as we've run out of potatoes, so could be alot of cursing later!
galen hope poorly/ sad dc's feeling better soon. We had the same problem with ds as soon as he has a cough only wants to sleep sitting up on me, lots of Olbas helps though.
dylsmum day trip to London sounds great.
swan I'd love to have a loft to be able to store stuff in e.g. the christmas tree that bangs me on the head every time I move the hoover!
Wolfcub hope you resolve ds's dinosaur nightmare before tonite, have you got any 'Harry and his bucketful of dinosaurs' books, they are very friendly little dinosaurs.

Hello to everyone else.
Not sure what I'm going to do today, might be meeting my friend for a pub lunch, depending on how tired me and ds are.
Done:
Washing nearly dry in T/D
Can't think what else, I'm off to try and do something FLYlike.
Have a good day everyone.
BBL

Thanks for thread wendy
TMH hope it goes OK at the hospital.
Simply hello hope all is well with you and the family.
EHM must email you some dates...
Everyone else hello

I am Cleaning The House today. It's dreadful at the moment. Not dirty as such but just stuff where it shouldn't be and in need of a quick hoover etc.
I am currently doing dds bedroom while watching missed episodes of Desperate Housewives on the laptop via 4onDemand
Plan to do a good tidy in all bedrooms and a quick run round downstairs too. We have friends coming for a meal/over-night stay tomorrow so I'd liek to get the place straight if I can.

Dh has rung from working completely stressed and tired so I also need to plan a nice supper for him this eve.

Back later x

Swan it was good thanks The kids loved it and dh and I had a good time too - it was v nice to be away from the usual routine. Dh andI are still really struggling though and times are very tough
I've had nightmares about our roof being blown off in a storm and revealing all the cr*p in our loft () for years now so we hope to tackle ours if/when the PiL are willing to take the kids away for a weekend...

Moving onto my bedroom next - heaps of clothes to put away

Bianca lovely then I can put in diary. I am looking forward to driving over & catching up.
swan DH was saying that G2 protests will be at his work, or very near by on Tues/wed. Once they are in the building the have been told they can not leave & told to bring lunch etc. Security will not be letting anybody in or outI've said if its that much of a threat they shouldn't be gong into the office. He said "I am not staying off work because of what these people think" I thats the polite version. I am concerned they may do something very extreme
wolf I think Harry N the bucket of Dino's would be great too. Ellie loved dino's very much. She watches The land before time on Cartoonito. Although there are some scray ones on that but not on Harry.poor we mite.
galen you very clever Will you return once Lo's are older?
shann enjoy your pub lunch if you go.
dylsmum have good day.
wendy thick blacks tights & pashmina sound good. when is hen do tonight? If not I could post you a red snuggly woollen pashmina I have first class today?

Back from Mini Moovers which was fun. So cold & windy I told ellie we couldn't go to park. So whilst she is entertaining herself I am going to do some flying.Really haven't done anything except washing/ironing bit of S & S since we came home on Monday.

Be back later.x
