Has anybody had loose sofa covers made by ?Plumbs?? They have a sale on making it vaguely reasonable. Have two seater sofa bed that needs new cover at reasonable price. Can't possibly face doing it myself! Any suggestions? West London Area.

I had a quote from them a couple of years ago and it was cheaper to get a new sofa and even cheaper to buy a nice throw

Plumbs is probably ok, they are, I think, biggest vendor in this area.

They can't make covers for all styles of sofas, though. We couldn't get ours recovred. I think you'd be looking at spending about £200 for a 2 seater, but you have to ask.

Thanks, have contacted Plumbs and they are expensive and you have to use their material. I have found material I like and might attempt
to make one my own once the footie season starts and he is out all the time...... found this good website topic sofa slip covers at mostlysewing.lucidway.org

If you can get to North London, I know a brilliant company for loose covers.
Huge range of material, excellently made. I'm delighted with mine.

Malovitt - sorry, know this is an old thread but have you got the name of that company? Thanks

Would not recommend Plumbs to my worst enemy. Have been waiting since February for my covers. Customer Service is non-existant. My covers did arrive on 16th May but they didn't fit and had to be sent back. Was told on 15th June that they were ready and going to be sent out asap. Have had to call again today (22nd) and have been told that my covers are still with them and should be sent out on Thursday of this week -am not holding my breath!
