Wires, wires and more wires

What does everyone do about wires to electrical equipment.

The TV has the dvd, freeview and wii attached to it - so lots of wires behind the tv plus 3 electrical plugs - all plugged into one socket - wires all on show!!

The computer plus lamp are attached to another socket at the other end of the room - wires all hidden behind the desk but untidily.

The wireless has to be attached to the phone line but also plugged in - means that we have a wire across the back wall!!!!!

How do you keep your wires tidy???

Also any ideas how much it would be to get another plug socket put in - would make life slightly easier.
