Good morning
I'm not doing things in the fly fashion today so I feel a bit of an imposter! I've a busy week ahead so today is my day for recovering the house after Christmas. We took down the decs today.

So far have
washed bedding - in dryer
washed clothes - on radiators.
Cleaned kitchen: sink, surfaces, cupboard doors, floor bin.
Made apple sauce
dining room: dusted, pc wiped down.

To do:
dining room: vac. Polish table.
living room, hall, bedrooms: dust and vac.
Bathroom: clean loo, bath, sink, tiles
Put bedding back on.
Jumper wash
Clean out guinea pigs.

I think thats quite a reasonable list. Only the weather is slightly distracting

hello starbear and amapoleon. The kids are at school and I'm just trying to pick my way through debris loose ends but keeping in one room to start with and not getting sidetracked. Not sure what protocol is for missions and babysteps, but if it seems doable I think cobwebs might be a good confidence building mission.

Report
starbear · 05/01/2009 10:53

Amapoleon, Make a list of what needs to be done today then add some babysteps. Don't get to bogged down and get moving. Plan at night when you have some quiet time No more than 1 hour.

Report
AnneOfAvonlea · 05/01/2009 10:56

Hi everyone.

Right then. All new people I strongly suggest you start with babysteps. You learn about the system properly and slowly and therefore make it work for you. If you rush ahead you are more likely to fall off the wagon.

My sinks is a mess so off to shine it now.

DD2 started pre-school this morning. No tears or anything.

Morning all.
Had a big burn out day yesterday. Bum. Result:not enough done for school today and morning was chaos.
Not helped by fact that DH forgot to put napy on dd4 for bedtime so she woke up soaked through, needed bathing, bed stripped (again - only changed yesterday grrrr)
PE kits in wrong bags - chaos.
Still did have eventually managed:
Kids dressed and fed.
3 delivered to school ( with some items of PE kit!
Dinner in slow cooker ( rainbows and scouts tonight - no time to cook!)
Vague sense of order to downstairs - still to venture upstairs.
Have been shopping and got DD's 2 and 3 new school tights, supplies for creating my control journal, sticky notes, extra bathroom cleaning stuff so I can have set in each bathroom, and special simk shiner -very excited by this-!

Will be pacing myself today!
Not sure what I'm doing - babystep day 5 ( and 4 from yesterday - sigh-)
Bit of tidying
Washing...

may be more.....

Right off to feed then nap DS2!

Morning all

Hello to new and old.
DD back at school she was starting to get bored and stressed with the change / lack of routine.
No W/M this morning have leak in the water pipes, council plunber coming out Thursday. Luckily one of my plastic 1l tubs fits exactly under teh pipes so minimising water on the floor, until I try and slide it out 2 empty it. I'm sure by Thurs i'll be able to do this without spilling a drop
TMH thanks for the thread and list, haven't redone mine yet. Hope pre-school am went well, and he's not to uncomfortable.
miscathcart good luck with work, FLYing really helps you use your time better / more efficiently.
NAB3 hope you're doing ok.
tigger well done on keeping the house together, hope you're all feeling better.
scatty counting hope you have a good day at work.
littleducks I don't get most of teh e-mails, couldn't handle them all either.
Ruby 4 inches of snow , where do you live?, we did have a light covering of sleet though. How generous and thoughtful of DH!
Swanriver starbear Amapoleon Grouchy Anne hello, was working through the thread but has taken me ages and ds is demanding lunch and 'big huggies now'
Have a good afternoon
I'm going to be retyping my routines etc. and saving them to disc this time!!

Hello lovely Flyladies. Where were you all when I was asking how I can get on top of my house cleaning last night?

Anyway, I am not going to shine my damn sink when the toilet hasn't been touched in weeks but I am determined I am going to get on top of this house cleaning malarkey this year and I am going to do whatever the 5 minute task is today. Will press post and then go and see what it is. Hold my hand ladies....

Report
DumbledoresGirl · 05/01/2009 12:12

Oh no, it is the kitchen this week! My kitchen is a building site as we are having an extension built. There is no point me doing that.
