BWB just noticed your dreadful news. Lowlife pieces of crap. There are no words to express how sorry I am to read this.

dylsmum1998 Tue 16-Dec-08 09:13:55

morning all.

thanks for thread ehm*

happy birthday!!

tort how long have you been waiting for your cooker?

ds says his tummy ache has gone and went off to school.
dd had a really bad night, the lowest her temp was 39.5 after calpol and her asthma was bad too, managed to get that under control by 4.30 am then got a little sleep, woke up just before 8 and her temp is normal she's 36.5 now. very bizarre and very good. hopefully its gone as quick as it came. she's still very cuddly so will be trying to fly between hugs today.
is anyone kind enough to post the orange mince pie recipe? i want to try it

morning all*

yay that you finally have heating and it's stayed working this time smile

tort the kids look gorgeous in that photo

dyls hope the minidyls are feeling much better today

I'm feeling very blue today but its granny's birthday so I need to put my game face on and pretend I don't.

to do

more clearing up
need to find various bits of paperwork

we are going to go and buy a christmas tree to try and cheer ourselves up. I am also thinking of painting on our new chipboard window to make it less depressing.

thank you to all for your kind (and violent) thoughts.

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse Tue 16-Dec-08 09:44:01

Morning all

Happy Birthday Greyskull*

Fab photo, even better children

Wolf You could do a ntavity scene on it or even a tree

EHM Thanks for the thread

Dlys Hope you man age a rest today

I have the mums and toddler christmas party this morning
then back to drop DS1 at Preschool
Write christmas cards

I went to the doctors yesterday and it seems for the first time in my entire life my BP is really high - worrying so. He checked it 5 times with 2 different machines. I need to go back next week to have it checked again and if it is the same then I will need some tests sad

So I need to chill and take things easy - easier said than done with the mini mads, but I will try

swanriver Tue 16-Dec-08 10:00:59

Hope you get through the next week Wolf. Could you do a Jungle Book scene with good wolves for your mural?
Hope you can rest TMH for a while today.
Dyslmum you must be exhausted

Broke down in tears on phone by 7.00 yesterday after ARGOS order still was not delivered. It was misdelivered to wrong address last week (on wrong day) and I waited the whole of yesterday AGAIN, rang to chase, yet kept saying yes it was being delivered. BUT no delivery. Have now cancelled whole enormous shipment. Curious sense of relief. Off to shopping centre now to do rl shopping and return laden with rl parcels.

House seems extremely messy - its seems very sensitive to my moods.
Yesterday I discovered a clove of garlic in washing machine. That would explain continued good health of children and strange smell of the laundry for last six washes.

BiancaCastafiore Tue 16-Dec-08 10:23:20

Thanks for the thread EHM and also for your parcel which arrived yesterday monring - so kind! I have put the pressies to one side ready for the big day!

Happy Birthday Greyskull grin

Tort that picture is lovely! I can't believe you managed to get all 4 kids and the dog looking at the camera and smiling at the same time!

Hope you manage a calm day TMH

I have had the day off work today to wait in for a parcel so have plans to blitz the house and get the Christmas cards written.
So far I have managed to;
do morning routines
finish some Christmas present making and finally put craft basket away (yippee!)
hoover living room (moved sofas to make sure I was thorough)
worry about money
wash rugs from living room
water plants

Still need to;
hoover rest of house
dust house
clean bathrooms
good clean in kitchen; esp sort cluttered kitchen cupboard
quick sort through utility room
list a box of toy cars on freecycle
plan decent supper

Ds has his Nativity show this eve which I am very much looking forward to seeing Dds is tomorrow eve and she has a severe case of stage fright going on, hope she's OK in her dress rehersal today

Better get on, BBL x

Back later,
Waves to all..LT

Jas Tue 16-Dec-08 11:27:09

Still trying to FLY, but need to do something and then report back instead of writing a plan and failing to do it I think.

Jas Tue 16-Dec-08 11:35:22

Can any of you more organised hostessy people help me here please?

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse Tue 16-Dec-08 11:59:00

Back from toddlers with two very hyper children, but they were great in the church and DS1 sung away in a manger so well grin

They have had so much crap that they do not need feeding and I am not sure if DS2 will manage a nap at all.

I am planning to zone clean the bathroom and do christmas cards if he does whilst watching some stuff on sky +

Will now get DS1 changed into his school uniform - that is if he stands still long enough.

Swan I would be fuming at Argos

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou Tue 16-Dec-08 12:31:52

wendycarolsinger Tue 16-Dec-08 13:19:53

Happy birthday to Greyskull!
grin at the garlic clove!
grin at double Tesco order - sorry! Invite more people over lol
Mad Take it easy!
Swan well done for rl shopping, I prefer it smile
Grouchy more envy at Wetherspoons

Had a cool morning at Toddlers Xmas party. DD scared of Santa again though! Had fun and my home made iced star and Christmas biscuits were so pretty and the most popular! [preening] blush
DS was picked up by Auntie Angela (DH's sister) and is still at her house so getting a few minutes.

Washing outside
Had lunch!
Popped to the shops - few more things for doodle drawers!

That's it - oops - better get cracking!

wendycarolsinger Tue 16-Dec-08 13:20:42

Wolfcub get some white paint and doilies and do some snowflakes? Chin up petal

wendycarolsinger Tue 16-Dec-08 13:26:49

startopped mince pies with orange juice pastry

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse Tue 16-Dec-08 13:49:19

I am doing OK

Zone clean in the bathroom is done
skip car has been cleaned inside - found rotting banana which was the source of the stench blush

Now to have a cuppa in front of the TV

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou Tue 16-Dec-08 14:18:53

Well I went to check that all the Lego was in the kit but...

It's 1632 pieces in total
It's really really fiddly stuff (loads of those flat thin plates of 1 block)
I kept loosing count blush
The seller assured me it was complete
I'm sure I can get spares from Lego (it looks like basic stuff anyway)
I was going boz eyed

So I've re-boxed it and wrapped it up. I just hope he likes it. I've wrapped the DVDs, book and CD too so I'm just waiting for the last bit from Play

Off to see Santa grin

Wolfcub Tue 16-Dec-08 14:44:42

happy birthday greyskull

we've been to get an xmas tree to cheer ourselves up.

I'm going to match grouchy's blushes here I had a dreaded sausage roll for lunch blush

Wolfcub Tue 16-Dec-08 14:47:22

oh and I've dusted the living room thoroughly too and polished the glass in the sideboard and tv cabinet. I've also polished the fire - if anyone has one with shiny bits of metal on it those spontex glass cloths do a fab job.

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou Tue 16-Dec-08 15:58:28

We're home, Ed is partied out, he's full of goodies and tired. He's tucked up in my bed with teddy watching Sonic Underground blush I will administer calpol and toast when required.

Suppose I can catch up with FLYing while he dozes

dylsmum1998 Tue 16-Dec-08 16:01:07

wendy thanks for the link for the mince pies

Go I'm not suprosed your losing count lego is the worst thing ever to count. fingers crossed its all there!

wolfcub blush why are sausage rolls dreaded?? i love them just out of the oven

looking at the recipe for the mince pies what is vegetable shortening? it asks for vegetable chortening e.g. trex, couldn't see either in the co-op sad
