Once I've yelled at SIL, how do I get greasy marks off a wooden surface?

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before but......does anyone have any suggestions for removing said marks from a fairly light wood surface? SIL (not my favourite person to start with) came to stay and left greasy make-up wipes on the surface of our cherished Heals chest-of-drawers (which we've had 10 years and somehow managed to keep in pristine nick. heaven knows how). I've tried the cool-iron-over-blotting-paper trick and that had zilch effect...

That's worth a try....it only happened a few days ago (and I discovered it after she'd gone - she didn't own up! ). Thanks, Knitter
