I remember reading something in a magazine by anthea turner mentioning something to do with bicarbonate of soda but can't remember so don't want to risk it. It's the white water marks round the sink that are the problem.

Any info appreciated x

have you tried vinegar?
I used it all the time for limescale in my kettle, at a previous house.

We use half a lemon.

or lemon

shock

are you all mad?

you don't use an acidic substance on polished stone as it removes the polish .. in fact you're supposed to wipe off spills of lemon, vinegar, wine immediately

my granite guys recommended something but I forgot what it was .. but you can get special products like this

I have been told that marble erodes but granite doesn't? Maybe that was wrong.

granite polish gets destroyed .. the stone stays but doesn't shine

I believe

Quick google found this, they are recommending fine wire wool or weak acid solution well rinsed for granite. It says not affected by lemon juice though, interestingly.
