As I said DS1 has been sick, so his bedding is in the wash and we have all been up for hours

Not sure of plans as DS2 is driving DS1 mad, so may ring my mum in a wee while to see if she will look after DS2 for the day.

Morning mad and everyone else that follows

mad thanks for thread, I can't believe how that nasty bug has worked it way through you all! Is there anyone else left in your house to get it now?
Hope the sun shines so you can get sheets dry

Well we are doing well this morning
Done
All up
dressed
brerakfast
lunches
d/w empty and reloaded
w/m on
t/d on
kitchen floor sweaped
table wiped down
beds made

I'm off to doctors today to hopefully get my medicated dose lowered
ds1 has a party after school (there's one friend then!)
ds1 stay at my mums tonight as I'm on a course tomorrow and need to leave house by 7.15am

So ds1 still insists he has no friends at school, despite party invite I am going to talk to his teacher about him being pushed about though.

I can't believe how long it has taken me to type all this

Good morning ladies

I can't believe how dark it is when we're getting up now!!

I stayed in bed listening to the lo chatter away to herself thinking it was loads earlier than it actually was I thought it was aboiut half 5! Doesn't help that I woke at 5am & just laid there for ages wondering how long had passed without looking at the clock though

We're off to MIL's later on if my oh gets out of bed but he's in a mood again so lil old me has had to get up again. I would kill for a decent lie in right now.

Mad your poor ds1 Hope he's better soon!
tigger good luck with lo's teacher, hope you can get to the bottom of it & he enjoys the party
morning Jas & everyone else

Right, off to make a start on morning-ey stuff & make another cuppa for moi. Will make a start on the list you gave me yesterday Mad after brekky since oh doesn't seem likely to surface any time soon .

Have a good day all, bbl xx

Ruby No house is def not too clean. I dont use antibac stuff, just thought microfibre cloths and water. Also remeber we are relatives to farmers

Fatface order has arrived - nice cardy for DH for his birthday (Nov) and bits for DS1.

Hormones have a lot to answer for

Morning all.

Ruby Think hormones are particularly bad this month for some weird reason. Someone made a passing comment about DD on saturday and I sobbed for nearly an hour afterwards having decided I was a terrible mother. Am also usually okay (although DH would probably disagree )

Mad Hate vomiting bugs. At least with colds and flu you don't have to keep washing sheets all day. Thanks for the thread, hope things improve.

Right morning routine done. DD is dropping her morning nap at the moment so is either exhasted and grumpy or hyped from too much sleep. Tis not fun.

Going shopping this morning for some clothes for DD and some of that washing machine cleaner that was recommended the other day on here.

Ho old are all of the kiddies dropping naps? DD2 is only 22 months

Report
tigger32 · 14/10/2008 09:21

just back from school drop off,
spoke to ds1 teacher and seemed really concerned (which is good) she said he mixed well but hadn't made a firm "buddy" and that neither had several other children, She is going to watch him today and will ask playtime teacher to do so also.

ruby I seem to get affected by hormones now more than I used to, glad you are feeling a bit better

to do

doctors
into town to do a few jobs
asda shop
put away
pick up ds1
get to party
pack tv up to send back
pack bag for ds1
find another present for ds1 to take to party as the birthday boy turned up with a similar thing at school that he already recieved
somewhere in the day I need to sort a cooked lunch for ds2 and a nap for him also, would to do some more ironing but don't think I will have time!

lucysmam · 14/10/2008 09:35

Ann my lo dropped naps at 14mo! You're soooo lucky if yours still has one

I agree with the hormones thing . . . am very moody & weepy lately. Maybe it's to do with the dodgy weather though as my MIL has been the same

OH still not up . . . cake is a disaster (has sort of gone wonky all to one side of it if you get what I mean?) Am fed up of everything .

Morning stuf all done except pots as theres only a cup and 2 side plates from toast so far this morning so will sort them when OH gets out of bed. Off to have half an hour with the lo and then start on list

DD is 14 months. Still had an afternoon sleep of 1-2 hours but dropping the 30 min morning nap that used to keep her going till lunch. When she has it she's all hyper after lunch till about 2, when she skips it she's exhausted by 12.30 and nearly fell asleep during lunch last week. Am trying to roll with it although really miss the morning nap time for catching up with some fly!

Report
lucysmam · 14/10/2008 09:46

I miss morning nap time too! Mine only had one daytime nap of about 2 hours from 11-14mo which was great. Now there's no peace until bed time. Although it does mean she sleeps better at night because she's utterly knackered by the time.

LO is ignoring me and trying to figure out he baby gate at bottom of stairs so am going to sit on my bum for half an hour on MN instead of playing. Although there's stuff I really should do . . . just no motivation whatsoever

TheMadHouse · 14/10/2008 09:47

AoA DS2 is 26 months so not too bad really. DS1 was 33 months when he dropped his and sometimes still has them!!!

I have disinfected all surfaces upstairs - now I am having a mediterianian moment. I have also done my detailed clean of the bathroom whist I was at it.

I am going to have a cuppa, cuddle the children and then start again. DS2 is helping too with his own cloth and rubber gloves. Flybaby indeed

Lucys cut a sclice off the cake to make it flat - thats what I do and it all else fails use it as a sponge for a triffle, you could always do a chco mouse type one

TMH - hope ds gets over bug quickly

heres my list -

make bed
do dishes
mop floors
sort out huge pile of random crap on dining table

Report
lucysmam · 14/10/2008 10:45

Well, sliced top off & cake was flat, filled it with buttercream & it looked very very yummy.

Started writing 'happy' in those little coloured balls & it looks very very wonky again now. So am not happy . It looks shocking, might have to pass it off as the lo's decorating. Although how good at spelling Happy Birthday a 20mo would be I'm not sure

oh still in bed, bathroom started. LO has nicked my pans out of the kitchen & is stirring some of my bangles round in them while I stomp around as much as possible. Am just waiting for footy kit out of td before bunging bath toys in wm with sterilising tablets & then the towels on a hot wash

Most of the downstairs is done. I have had to take a break as the hoover has overheated

I am going to do the kitchen and the downstairs loo next and then that is it for the day, apart from the regulars
