Babysteps and mission.

DP has been moaning since 6.30 as he's been moved to a different site, and left all his tools at the other one yesterday.
I spent all last night doing childrens jigsaw puzzles. They are now all sorted out and in the right boxes, and the two with loads of pieces missing are in the bin. I'm keeping three which have only one piece missing for now. I know I'll find them if I throw the whole thing away now.

I need to do a list for today...

Toy cupboard
washing up
washing
paperwork
hoover

Plus all my normal routine.

Tortoise - I agree - let xp pay his half and come or not, your ds isn't daft, and sees who does all the work!
Good luck with the holiday.

scatty - Also agree with EV. Ditching the dvd is the most obvious change to make. If they go to sleep earlier, they may be up earlier too. Would that matter?

Morning all

sactty I have problems with bedtimes as well. Supposed to be:
Bath in between tea and 'In the night garden' at 6:20.
DS bottle and both in bed at 7:20 after 'Max and Ruby'
Story and lights out at 7:45.

Tort definately let xp pay half, ds is as much his as yours so only fair.

Get up done
Make bed done
Get dressed to shoes
DC?s up dd not ds
Make DC?s beds
Put W/M on done
DS bottle
Check calendar
Breakfast 3 doing*
Wash up
Dry up & put away
Shine sink
DC?s dressed
Washing out or T/D
Clean toilet ( S & S)

Definately running late.

To do
Town - ds new shoes, dd school trousers and pyjamas.

Will come back later with more of a list. Have had a useless week flying, but I'm reading a very good book called 'positive thinking' which should help beat depression and make me a better person so worth a bit of a messier flat.

Hope everyone has a good day.
BBL

carry on with Mad's zone clean list from the other day
anything else I manage to fit in which could be not a lot as this morning's slowly going the same as yesterday!

Hi all.

Thanks for the tips re bedtime.

Tried to ditch dvd and bring bedtime forward to 7.30 last night. DD had massive meltdown, wouldn't sit for story, wouldn't lie down in bed etc (ds was trying to be 'good' but made matters worse by shouting at dd to lie down etc). DD screamed so much she was sick. In the end dh stepped in and got dd to bed.

However I am not defeated. I ot them up before 7 this am so will be more tired tonight. I'm aiming for lights out at 8.

Back later with lists.

(welcome back saga, got your hands full?)

Scatty - it will be a bit like going cold turkey for a few days but worth it. Dd shouldnt need a DVD to get her to bed really. Not judging btw as we all do whatever works but obviously this has stopped working iykwim.

DD2 being very stroppy and naughty at the moment. We've already 'labelled' her as THE NAUGHTY ONE and so I'm feeling a bit guilty. She's not even two yet

Have friend coming over in 20 mins so need to qhizz around with hoover and then have nice morning.

OK - I have been up most of the night with DS2 this time (makes a change from DS1). He has been vomitting.

I have the washer on, another load of bedding to go in and then some towels - yuk

He is watching the wiggles and the swimming is off for today.

Mum is coming anyway to look after them whilst I see the plastic surgeon to schedule op. My cousin is very ill after her surdery. The blood supply has not taken and the reconstructed breast is infected and the fat is rotting. She had another operation yesterday and is very poorley

Anyway - I am off to clean up, make DS2's bed again (3rd time) and give out some cuddles.

EV You reading how to talk perchance?

Scatty persive on the bedtimes

Lucys Porridge oats, milk or water and mix. I do mine in the microwave now, as I have been making them for DS1 since he was 6 months. DS2 is a wheatabix with warm milk boy

Jas Well done on the jigsaws

Sag Glad the insurance paid out in the end

Shana Our two only get Max and ruby if they have been really good during the day

TMH your poor cousin, that sounds terrible. I hope she makes a good recovery soon.
DD1 has had porridge every day (winter and summer) since she was about 6 months, too and dd2 had weetabix and warm milk until she was about 6! Now she varies things a bit more, but ds is going down the porridge route, too.
I make it in the microwave, too. Trial and error to get the thickness they like, but now I know that 1/2 pint milk and 1/2 teacup oats is just right for dd1.

Just re read and see ds2 is sick I hope it is over quickly.

Lucy - I've no idea I've given up taking any notice of where he is working any more! I know he was in London very near to where I used to live last week, but is often out in the sticks and I haven't a clue.

scatty - Bedtime will get easier. It will be worth it once dd realises you won't back down.

Tax credit came in today so I'm off to pay some bills now.

Morning everyone

I have been a bit caught up in the outside world of late! House is still clean (ish) and flying is going well, or at least the routines are! Haven't kept up with the missions this past week.

In pjays at mo, cos me & DD had a sicky bug. So we are having a lazy day. Going a brisk walk later to try and feel a bit fresher. And thinking about a nice blandish dinner!

See you soon.

Afternoon

DS2 is in bed, no more sick - yah. No more food either though. He is fine and jolly and happy. I have the washer on again

DS1 is at preschool with some coconut ice - DH can take the rest to work - he he he

Mum is here, so I am going to post some of the ebay things (once I have packaged them)

I am meeting DH at the hospital. Have heard from Aunty - Cousin is doing a lot better and feeling a lot better this morning, they ahve obviously got some antiB's to work and also removed all the dead stuff in the operation. She will be able to go home tomorrow on oral antiBs andgo back next week. Her BP has also come back down too. So I am really happy about that.

Can't get any gumption today

Oh Good news DH got an interim wage payment this morning! Free's up the overdraft but doesn't clear it but shouldn't grumble

Groucy The postman has just been - thank you very much. I fear it may be a little on the large size, but will wear really well. Cheers mate

E-bay stuff packaged and ready to go.

I am meeting DH at Aldi near the hospital - so we only pay one set of parking costs - it is now £3 per hour.

I have not done a lot either, although tonnes of washing is hung on the line - it is a good job we have spare pillows
