Well it is absolutely pouring down still. It has been at least 3 weeks of rain continously here. The river burst its banks yesterday, which is not great as we live 5 houses away from the river! (I feel sorry for No.1 as it flooded their garden)

There is a mini river running past our front door, so we have to use the back door to get in and out. Grrrrr

Well I have to run some errands today, really need a food shop, have a tidy round, help the kids with their homework, buy coal and light a fire.....lots to do really!

Morning luda, EV & saga & everyone else

luda a mini river? that doesn't sound too good!! is it cold enough there for a fire? my oh's had heating on the past few days but I didn't think it was that cold

EV good luck, rather you than me

saga definate ouch!

I've got odd bits to do today round the house & nip to PO for a stamp. Need to get bread as well at some point and make sure oh's work boots don't have any creepy crawlies living in them since they never got sorted the other day

Morning
Thanks for the thread LUda, and I hope you don't get too wet today.

Have a nice weekend EV Saga - No sympathy at all here...

Today we will be looking round the market, t
rying to get dp to clear our gutters (the plants which are so huge they have flowers on them up there are seriously not helping with all this rain)
and properly cleaning and tidying the dds rooms.

I've started dd1s (easiest as it is so small)

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all

I was in bed by 9.30 and have just got up and feel so much better thanks to a full night sleep

It is raining here too. Luda I do hope that you dont flood. Do you have sandbags?

Jas Good luck with the cleaning

Lucys We had the heating on for an hour last night, not so much cold as damp.

EV Good l;uck with the journet - do you have portable DVDs. Best thing we did for long journeys

We have a birthday party this afternoon for the little girl next door. We have no cash though so the boys are making her a card and I have been in my "cuboard" and found some Jez Alborough books, which will be suitable - bought cheep in a 10 pack from the book people.

Hello everyone

Luda I sympathise with you, we have a pond forming at the front of our house! The DC's are hoping some ducks will move in, but I dont think even they are able to cope with this rain.

Kept the sink shined.

Quick tidy of living area and spent the rest of the morning hunting down DS' lost Dinosaur King cards

ludaloo · 06/09/2008 12:53

Hi again

tidgy ducks might be goo, would give us something to look at other than muddy water!
Rain has stopped but everywhere is very wet. We now have more of a lake than a river outside the front door and luckily it hasn't risen high enough for sand bags yet.

Bianca how are the rivers near you? I seem to remember you had very bad floods didn't you last summer.

Well we have realise the car has run out of MOT so no trip to town today.
Just more washing/sorting/tidying etc.etc.

Hi there, I always lurk on the fly threads, your all very inspiring! I am still in my jimjams we didn't wake up till 11am! DD seemed to be in sleep shock from early mornings for schools again this week!

I shall log off mnet soon though and tackle each room individually. Tis only a small flat, should only take 2 hours... If I can just unseal my bottom from this computer chair ...
