Can't believe I'm first in where is everybody today?
At home today with DS who has already fallen out of his booster chair cracking his head on the kitchen unit (again) lovely big egg on his head but luckily no need for a trip to A & E this time (fingers crossed).
dw unloaded, reloaded and on
kitchen floor swept (by the way how do you get rid of silverfish yuck)
Kitchen and dining table tidied
little bit of dusting upstairs
hope all are well and have a lovely day
Morning Bewilderbeast, your poor ds, hope his head is feeling better soon!
Can't believe how busy you've been this morning, you seem to have done twice as much as me
I'm still finding my feet at the mo, but do feel I'm starting to get some good habits!
I'm off out with some friends for a picnic today, fingers crossed for weather.
All I've managed is
empty and reload dishwasher
Still need to
Hoover lounge/ dining room (desperately)
babystep for today
mission for today (haven't even read what these are)
Morning to everyone else
I'm up...just reading a rather rediculous post (good old MN )
I'm having my hair cut today and the kids are having a trim. All ready for school next week.
Other than that, not really doing much. Just a general tidy
<<RR staggers about rubbing eyes>>
Well thats a bit of luck, I one thing I really needed to do (hoover lounge) turns out to be mission for today
BWB Hope DS's head is OK
I did the mission last night
Mat washed and hung out
Morning routines done
We are off out to the park with friends, so will catch up later
Thanks for the thread Bewilder, and for the links Luda
We had a houseful of kids again yesterday so i took advantage of everyone being kept happy nad had a quick blitz on the upstairs of the house - I can't remmeber the last time I managed to get the hoover up there! It's all lovely and tidy this morning
I need to hoover downstairs todya so will do the mission.
I also need to sort the spare room as we have visitors tomorrow night.
Feeling a bit that the summer has alomost gone already. The lazy days have been very nice
I have finally managed to get the kids to have a school-uniform-trying-on-session Thankfully everything from last year still fits except for dds polo shirts and tights so we haven't had to invest in much. Ds is complaining that some of his clothes say dds name (hand-me-downs) so I'll put some new labels on at some point over the weekend
We're hoping it'll stay dry and warm so we can get to the park for a picnic
I'm .. errr.. here
bewilder my mums old house had silverfish (little critters used to come out for a party at night) Irrc they like damp places, I seem so remember she had some evil smelling stuff (but this was the mid 80's so thats not really very helpfull and I'm not hippy eco girl so i'd probably wave some peppermint oil at them and sing a folk song)
God I really need this tea.
Had a strange dream last night we bought a puppy and a rabbit...
I'd better go and finish this tea
BBL (and hopefully more cognent)
Managed night 2 of DD going to bed without me (sat on chair outside), its really tough as she shouts 'mama I want a cuddle' and I have to call 'you don't need a cuddle, go to sleep' it breaks my heart . She came into my bed at 2am. I need to tackle this next.
checked bank bal
filled in new OM calendar for nxt week .
find a film to go and see with dh tomorrow (mum is coming for W/E yeah!)
Slightly more with it
Have placed huuuuuuuuuuuuge order with tesco, so don't need to drag all the girlies around a supermarket - yay!
Hopefully have dd's friend to visit later and DH and i have a night out. However, have no idea where to go! Any suggestions? Low budget preferred.
Bewilder poor ds, hope he's ok!
tigger I always feel like everyone's managed more than me when reading their posts!
luda oh is just fixing bike then off to PO with your parcel Hope it gets to you as quickly as yours got to me!!
Ruby was it you who was doing xmas countdown when kids went back to school? If so, when are you starting? If not, who on earth was it!?
morning Mad, Saga and Scatty and everyone else
I'm not a happy bunny today, fil told mil last night he'd scratched wm, td and oven doing some diy in kitchen! I blamed oh who swore it wasn't him. They're all brand bloody new as well & he doesn't treat stuff at his house like that, bashing and crashing around! So I am sulking with him until he apologises!! which could be a long time . . .

Ruby, chinese restaurant? Only say that because there's a gorgeous one round corner from us and its only a fiver all you can eat!
It was me, but my dcs are not back at school yet. Let me off the hook until 8 Sep! i think that is early enough.
If we go to Chinese restaurant, Dh will be hungry an hour later. Plus he will have spent entire day at Chinese embassy getting visa maybe coals to newcastle!
May look for soup kitchen
Had to LOL at the thought of saga singing folk songs to the silverfish
lucys hello, thanks for that I have high expectations from the postal service so they hadn't better let me down!
Hope the weather stays fair for your picnic. I'm feeling a bit sad school is starting again too, the holiday seems to have whizzed by and the weather has been so pants we haven't really done a lot! We didn't go away this year, decided to redecorate instead, so next year I think a holiday will be our main priority.
Well I have the stereo up and I've done today's mission and I've cleaned the bathroom.
Off to make a spot of lunch and then turf the kids into the garden for some fresh air
lucys oooh noooo how are you gonna get the scratches out? I'd make him do it!
Hi, first time on this thread! Thank God for your babysteps. Have just completed day 1 and will hopefully with all your help continue through to day 31
Thanks for the thread BWB...It's the end of the holidays and we haven't gort around to a meet up yet. Poor DS, he's having a hard time of it at the moment.
We went swimming as a family last night. Ed and DH had a great time.Very splashy but lots of fun. Washed everything and it's drying now.
Been out all morning with Ed. Spent way too much in charity shops but I'm really chuffed with the Spike Milligan kids treasury for 75p and Ed is engrosed in the Thunderbirds VHS he chose.
Also stocked up on lunchpack supplies. He has enough chewy bars and little cheeses to see him through the term.
He has Rugby training tonight. Should tire him out a bit
Up and washed
Clear almost dry washing off the clothes horse
Sort for drying
Hang to dry
Make pizza dough
S&S worktops with vinegar
Downtown for shopping trip
Take Ed for a hot chocolate
Empty bags and put away
Got to set off in a couple of hours to the rugby pitch then on to Tesco for the weekly shop.
We are back and DS1 is napping and DS2 is watching Nick Junior. We had a lovley morning playing.
