EV and Tigger my dd1 starts school a week today - I am really nervous for her - how are you feeling about it?
I am back to work next week as well so will only be around on Thursdays and Fridays. Busy day ahead trying to get the house straight after being away (leaving dh and dcs here) for the weekend.

Rupert, i'm feeling really nervous too! It's going to be a big change for our whole family, even down to ds2 having to change his nap time!! I don't work though so fortunately I haven't got that to deal with aswell . Do you feel sad that your dd is growing up so fast?

Report
RupertTheBear · 26/08/2008 09:14

I am a bit sad about her growing up, but it is just such a big change for her. She is really ready for it and so excited about going - it is only me with the problem!

morning all

Have woken up feeling very dodgy this morning so oh is cancelling my afternoon appointment for me while i go to this mornings. still have to get a couple of bits while I'm in town, bag of flour and marg for biccy's and apparently the quid shop are selling Dulux paint so going to pop in and see if they've got anything white rather than gloss for doors/radiators.

Not sure how much will get done today as all I want to do atm is sleep so will play on the www. for a while, get dressed and go to appointment while oh is in charge of lo. Then when I get back will hopefully feel better and have an organised list for this afternoon that doesn't just say SLEEP!!

Have a good day everyone xx

Morning all

We are back, came back a day early due to s and D is DS2, but we had a fantastic time and can not wait to go back.

There is so much to see and do for the children.

The washer has been on constantly since we returned, even more so as DS2 decided to puke all over me and his big brother last night just after baths. He also did it again all over bedding during the night.

He seems fine now, so just hoping it is a bug

I have a mountain of washing to iron, so that is my task for today.

Also been to the doctors, I start my meds for my bowel issues this week and I am being referred to a consultant as I am having pins and needles in my hands (I am truly falling apart)

Hi everyone

Awwwww good luck to all those who have DC starting school next week.
My DS started back in January, and I will have my DD2 starting this time next year.
DD1 started a couple of years ago....I think I was most worried about her because she was my first to let go of (IYSWIM) and she didn't have siblings there. DS was ok, he had DD1 and thankfully they are in the same classroom. DD2 will also have both DD1 and DS and will be in the same classroom as DS so I am less worried about her.

Well I have last minute school bits to sort, off to town later.

Just tidying and sorting for me today

afternoon everyone

Mad glad you had a good time away! Poor DS, hope it was just a bug making him sicky!!

cafebistro where are you coming back to the UK from?

Hope those of you with lo's starting school aren't feeling too nervous about it!

biglips how did it go at midwife appointment?

I'm back from my appointment feeling as dodgy as this morning and have walked into the house to find a mini-milk where I used to have a toddler she's covered!!! And oh has left as I walked in for a job interview so fingers crossed!

well, my list for this afternoon looks something like this but is subject to change depending on whether I can be arsed or not
~bake biccy's
~decide what's for tea
~organise online shop for Friday
~wash and td lights
~wrap clothes for luda to post on friday morning
~ebay some more bits I've found as I've been rummaging
~quick tidy bathroom
~bath lo
~mission
~hoover everywhere
~sofa covers in wm when lo in bed
~lots of cuppas to keep me going
~decide where my other shelf is going in kitchen

so I'm off to start with a cuppa and general virtual wander around Asda to see if anything I would usually get is on bogof or any other offers and then write my list. bbl xx

Afternoon all.

EV, Tigger and Rupert My DS started school last yr (he was only just 4). I also worried about him as he was very young and quite shy (and had no interest in letters!). He has done really well, made lots of friends and loves it (still has no interest in letters lol).
isaidno I was looking at your profile (gorgeous pictures) and notice you live in Redditch, I'm from Alvechurch (now live in Newcastle), my Aunty and Granny live in Redditch!

Had a lovely morning in park with my friend and her gorgeous baby (oops there I go, getting broody again).

Done:
3 loads washing
wash up
hoover

To do:
3 loads of drying, folding, putting away and ironing!!!
Pop to shops
Start naming school stuff .

TMH glad you had a good time, weather was kind to you (though windy huh?)
Bianca how'd you get on at the festival? (Did the breakdown go ok lol).

Arghhh

Off to brush teeth

Back again having had lunch and the most awful arguement with dd She and ds wanted to have lunch in front of the telly, I was in the kitchen making lunch while they started watching a dvd, I hear them squabbling and ask them to stop, they squabble more I say I'll switch dvd off, they squabble more so I switch dvd off - ds accepts this but dd turns into screaming monster and totally loses it I just can't cope with these tempers any more, she's 7 fgs!

Both she and ds are in my bed listening to a story CD now so hopefully might have a rest and be in brighter moods later.

TMH nice to have you back Glad you had such a good break.
EV enjoy this time with dd1 I remmeber trying to fit in lots over the last weeks before school too. Does she go full time straight away?

The festival went well, thanks for asking The kids had a ball. The breakdown is today - dh went in my place (more help than me really - taller and stronger) and is just on his way home now.

I desperatly need to do some laundry - we all gotreally muddy at the festival! And the house is in need of some tlc.

Afternoon

Scatty Weather was kind only rained once over night, but the field was a quagmire. We had great fun watching people wheel spin and get stuck
I think we have fallen in love with that area of Northumberland - so many walks etc

I have been attacking mount Madhouse (ironing) and it is now half the size so offically a hill rather than a mountian. Although I have another load to go on.

We are now off to pick up the cat from my mothers - who is in a stop with my brother, so with me by default - I am not responsible for my mothers happiness

Hi again.
Back from shops and library. DC watching a DVD from library. 3rd load of washing on the line (rest dry and piled up on my bed).
Must get more organised, ran out of cash in cafe this am (had to sponge off my friend ) then forgot Ds library card and left DDs knickers in the library (don't ask) and had to go back. I am a very scatty spice.

saga don't feel bad about the filling (this will happen to us soon for sure). I had 2 fillings at that age (and no more since) my mum was mortified (prides herself on being a first rate mother). I like to bring it up whenever possible lol. I guess she will have an injection (can't remember).

TMH which campsite did you use?

Right cup of tea before dh gets home then plan for tomorrow .
