due to dd being ill, i haven't cleaned the loos for ages.
and it is horrid.

what is the strongest loo cleaner ever?

Whole bottle of vinegar, leave overnight.

The next night, put down a whole bottle of coke and leave overnight.

Repeat with vinegar and coke again if needed.

Works a treat smile

Really coke and vinegar?

SlartyBartFast Sun 24-Aug-08 20:37:51

steer clear of bicarbonate of soda mixed in though,
it will EXplode!

zog Sun 24-Aug-08 20:41:09

Absolutely! Not together though.

Does rather make you wonder what Coke does to your insides shock

lovelysongbird Sun 24-Aug-08 20:52:02

i used that domestos 100% limescale remover. leave over night and scrub with a loo brush the next day.

ChairmanMiao Sun 24-Aug-08 21:02:54

Harpic blue in a bottle.

lou33 Sun 24-Aug-08 21:05:03

spirit of salts

Toilet Duck with 100 limescale remover is great too.

When we moved into our house I tried all sorts to clean the upstairs toilet which wasn't 'dirty' a such but stained with discgusting coloured limescale at the bottom.

Nothing worked till I tried that, I swear by it now and even use it on the area around my taps on the sink if they become a bit scummy with limescale.

get the loo brush and force the water out then it will be more effective

lucysmam Sun 24-Aug-08 21:18:04

domestos 100% worked a treat on my manky brown with years old limescale from previous tennant loo. leave as long as possible, i didn't even scrub with loo brush and it disappeared! was about £1.99 though which is a bit expensive imo

Beauregard Sun 24-Aug-08 21:19:23

Coke overnight and a pumice stone

lovelysongbird Sun 24-Aug-08 21:22:50

ChairmanMiao Sun 24-Aug-08 21:23:40

Beauregard Sun 24-Aug-08 21:24:18

yeah should do lol

Another vote for Domestos 100% - the bright pink stuff in a black bottle.
