Morning Rowingboat You are still doing well I see.

We are up and morning routine for us nearly complete, porridge is cooling

I have the TD on - that rain will make my electric bill far to big.

We are going swimming this morning, which should be fun. I have popped lunch in the slow cooker.

RubyRioja Mon 18-Aug-08 09:07:54

lucysmam Mon 18-Aug-08 10:05:46

good morning all <waves>

rowingboat that's a long list!!
scatty our room was mouldy when we 1st moved in [yuk] seem to recall having to get some mould killer type stuff

hope everyone's ok this lovely wet monday morning? I'm knackered! went to bed early n lo woke us up at half 2 again n wouldn't go back to sleep so been sat in the dark all night and not had much sleep sad but never mind, mil coming today so can have an hour off as lo seems to think me and oh aren't there when mil is if that makes sense.

TO DO TODAY:
wash & td remainder of airing cupboard contents
make more soup as yesterdays got eaten while oh watched wrestling last night
hoover whole house top to bottom
declutter paperwork - 15mins if i dare!
swap some toys over
buy milk & fruit
check time of new playgroup
work out if we'll need any shopping this week
order 1st xmas pressy for lo
work out budget for next 2 weeks
drink a million n 1 cuppas!

hope you all have a good day. rowingboat if you get round to nappy declutter n have any you are willing to sell, would you consider me please [flutter eyelids] grin

lucysmam Mon 18-Aug-08 10:06:51

Just read mission, IDEAL for oh today I think since he's the one who throws everything in our room 'out of the way' grin

rowingboat Mon 18-Aug-08 10:29:22

Thank you Scatty and Grouchy - I'm still in shock. I kept searching for Monday, thinking 'it must be here somewhere' then 'Oh no, there isn't one, I'll have to start one, waaah!' grin
scatty that's not good about the bedroom and car. We had some condensation mould on our bedroom window, and the internet said diluted bleach to get of it, and it did work. I think it was because we had the bedroom window & curtains closed all the time - when the LO was tiny and sleeping next to it.
TMH that sounds yummy! Enjoy swimming. Did you teach your boys to swim?

Morning Lucys poor you, you must feel so tired. I just put everything on the list, so that I can tick things off, otherwise I don't think I've done anything. grin
Have been looking on the supermarket websites to see if anyone has a deal on cartons of fruit juice - Tesco have Princes 2 for one, but I bet there will be none left when I get there later.
Have to phone school as well, just to confirm the day that pre-school starts. They seem to stagger the morning nursery, afternoon nursery and primary school start dates. Binned the bit of paper with the details. shock

sagacious Mon 18-Aug-08 10:40:32

Hi all sorry for lack of personals .. just getting back into gear..
Back from hols (windy/rainy devon)

rowingboat Mon 18-Aug-08 11:04:40

Hi saga sorry to hear about the leak, I hope it gets fixed very swiftly and inexpensively ( but at least quickly)

rowingboat Mon 18-Aug-08 13:04:44

Just back from the stupid run and didn't finish because it poooured down and the LO refused to go any further on his running bike.
Got back and the key got stuck in the back gate, so it took about 30 minutes to free it. In the rain. Grrr!
We are having lunch now so feel much better.
Stupid rain.

Bewilderbeast Mon 18-Aug-08 13:56:48

afternoon all

done
dw unloaded, reloaded and on
wm unloaded, reloaded and on
washing up done
bed made
living room tidied
kitchen surfaces wiped
s&s bathroom
ds taken to granny's

Gosh it's soooo much easier when the house is tidier to start with. If I let it get in a total state again will you all please beat me with feather dusters until I sort it out.

lucysmam Mon 18-Aug-08 15:01:28

good afternoon all smile

Bewilder I am armed and dangerous with feather duster grin

rowingboat i don't actually feel too bad now, just trying to keep busy or i'll be ready for bedtime before lo

well I've finished washing the contents of my airing cupboard but had to td the lot because of on-off-on-off rain sad

have made more soup, played with lo, had cuppa with mil, supervised oh putting shelf up in kitchen. Have rooted through cupboards and am half way through a £10 list for asda this week to keep us well stocked for super-skint week next week! never getting to the point when there's nothing in n i only have £15 for a weeks shopping again!
had a quick wipe around bathroom, hoovered downstairs and made both beds after stripping them.

have decided to start xmas shopping in town tomorrow since wilko's have some very colourful toys lurking in there for less than a fiver.

daren't tackle my huge mountain of paperwork atm but will do it when lo is sleeping, and have a sort of budget for the next month worked out!

hope you're all having good days!! ttfn xx

TheMadHouse Mon 18-Aug-08 15:13:31

Afternoon All

Swimming was lovley, although you might as well stay in your swimming kit in this weather - what a day. Wet wet wet

DS2 is napping, DS1 is on PC. I am going to pop the dryer on again.

No need to do the mission, as one of my morning routine is to make the bed and clear the bedroom. My bedroom is my sanctary and apart from the state of the wardrobes is OK!

scattyspice Mon 18-Aug-08 15:19:18

Afternoon.

*lucy & RB* Dh tackled the mould yesterday while I took DCs out (horrible stinky mould remover stuff). But we have to avoid putting stuff under the bed or on top of wardrobes to let air circulate (he says). So have a mountain of stuff to rehouse (I have my eye on Dh new shed hmm).
katie Good luck with the painting (not got LOs underfeet too have you?)
BB I totally agree, maintenance is much easier than emergency cleaning.
saga sad re floor.
lucy (again) Xmas!!!

Well, back from the party with 2 facepainted children (a bit smudged fromthe walk home in the rain!)

House bless done!! (first time this has actually been done on a mon).

Still wading through laundry.
Better go wake DD.
