That is my attitude to cleaning most of the time...

I do tidy up when dd gos to bed, and I have a thing about the kitchen alway being clean, work surfaces etc must be clean before bed.

But with the rest I really don't want to do it. I cannot really organise my place as there are no storage cupboards, and now I have started loosing important things like bank card...

Its just so boring and would rather spend time looking after my clingly 1year old dd...

Oooh, I empathise. Sounds like you do enough cleaning to me .

I am chuckling at the very concept of giving advice on one of these sorts of threads, but I do have a tip. I do! Nominate or buy a shelf which is out of DC's reach that you have in your hallway/by your front door, and AS SOON AS YOU WALK IN THE DOOR put your purse, keys, phone, important bills etc on that, so that you always know where they are. You can make it look pretty with baskets or vases or whatever if you feel the need?

butnotthatbrave - I'm glad you reconised i was my 1year old dd that has stolen and hid my bank card...

She always takes impotant things like remote, mobile and house phones...

I feel like the character from the book slummy mummy. But I know my house is no where near as bad.

But my car is a tip...

thisisyesterday - I want a cleaner too, but it is now only me and dd 1year old so feel I must be the most lazyest person ever to get a cleaner for my 2bed flat...

Still thinking abut it...

I have tried but I just can't keep my house tidy. I can manage maybe one or two rooms but thats my limit.

I much prefer to just go out and leave the house looking 'lived in'

I would like to get a cleaner. I am actually considering putting that on my christmas list, for someone to pay a cleaner for a set amount of time. The thought of it, having a lovely tidy house that I don't have to do.

I don't actually mind cleanin too much, its just that every single evening I have to tidy up when dd is in bed, if I cook a nice dinner it more cleaning.

Then there is the extras like mopng all floors etc - boring.........

My car is disgraceful too. I borrowed my MIL's today because I was giving a colleague a lift and all the faffing about to have hers was quicker than cleaning mine out .

I bet you are really interesting to talk to though mamachat, just think of all that living you do while you could be cleaning!
