Morning Shanna

Well I have a flat tire and no spare (only a filler, car doesnt come with one), so I am going to try and pump it up and go to the guarage after the boys have had breakfast)

We are then off to a local stream and wood area and then to the pub with friend for lunch

So not much flying this morning, but a nice morning with the boys

Hi Lucys & Giraffes & Biglips Greyskull I don't know if you noticed, but I am trying to put together a running plan. I don't do the weighing, but have been doing walks for the past few months.
I love walking, but have sometimes found it difficult to find new places to walk 'to' and then start to dither and then guess what...
So I kind of thought, running takes less time, but has the same effect and you can run the same route all the time if you want.
There's no way I could start running for 30 minutes or something, but could do the walk/run thing where you run for a few minutes then walk briskly until you feel ready to run again. If the walk/run is around 20-30 mins to start I think that's fine.
I can't start right now because I have a streaming cold, but hope to make a routine/plan for the end of the week, when I feel better. I am going to aim for 4 walk/runs a week.

Rowingboat - i used to do running at the Gym on the treadmill....at first it was a flat ground run for 4 mins and then 4 mins walk, then 4 mins run and then 4 mins walk....you just build up the time when youre ready to do it....good luck! and make sure you got decent trainers esp New Balance trainers as they are designed for running.

i will be back on the running after i had the baby.

Afternoon all

Greyskull I tried to get dressed this morning but couldn't do my jeans up so yes i do need to shift a few inches.
TMH hope you got teh tyre sorted and had a nice time at the stream and wood, sounds lovely as does the pub lunch.
lucy great that the money's come throuhg, enjoy spending and having a swish looking kitchen.
Ruby raining here too, bad luck on the beach.
EV hope you had fun swimming.
rowing take it easy, hope the cold goes soon. I think coconet macoroons use egg whites.
This morning dentist is done, need to go back for filings
Morning routine done
To do
Mission in a minute.
Tidy up DC's bedroom when DS wakes up.
Hot spots (raging inferno) in our bedroom.

Thigh trainer also done, have really lost fitness level, I'm struggling now DD isn't at playschool and I'm not doing the 5mile/day power walking(yes always left late).
Am definately aiming to do ttrainer every day, used to be soo easy was about to move upto 2kg weights, not now. I lost trouser size in 30days last time so I know i can do it.

Anyway enough on weight it's to depressing, we'll have to have a daily Have you excercised today? section

Greyskull - I just joined this thread - who wants to lose 2 stone

Report
bythepowerofgreyskull · 05/08/2008 13:58

Well I am glad there are a few of us - to use flyspeak - I am going to start to Bless my heart and try to shift some body clutter.

If you are up for it she suggests posting the minutes you have spent "exercising" what ever form that may take. each day.

I am going to start tomorrow (as usual)
Going to have my regular to do list but bless my heart will be added to daily routine.

not sure if it will work but have worked out - 2st = 28lb
19 weeks till my birthday
that allows for 1-2 lb a week loss so it should be possible.

Rowing sadly no good at running - knees tend to give up badly so low impact powerwalking is as good as it gets but you are right about it being a really effective way of training.

We are back, although only spend an hour at the woods as they had fenced off the stream - bloody H&S gone mad. I used to love it as a child.

So.... we went to the beach and had a great time. Even had chips on the sand - he he he

DS2 is napping and DS1 got so upset that we had to leave as it started to rain

Hello

Back from hols, but still very busy with children all over the place, and lots of washing to catch up on. I'm trying to get it done without the use of the t/d.

I'll try and FLY a bit more but things are very hectic around here atm.

I don't really want/need to lose weight, but would like to join an exercise plan if you are doing something as I am very unfit and seriously lacking in motivation.

Bewilderbeast · 05/08/2008 16:42
