ANy idead how to get rid of it, please?

Politely ask her to leave if she has outstayed her welcome.

if it is still sitting there loose, then dab it off with sellotape, gently. this is v effective

if it has been rubbed in.... oh dear. it is horribly staining. don't know I'm afraid!

Humphrey - You clearly know her. She's a menace.

PPH - Thanks will go off and try sellotape right mow.

I have shaken the thing outside in the garden to remove the excess but there are tiny cumin coloured specks remaining.

Don't rub it in. Don't wash it. Use sellotape, like PPH said and just lift up the dust.

If it's not dusty anymore, or if you've been scrubbing at it, then you are stuffed. Nothing will get it out once it's pushed into the fibres.

sellotape is what we used in the Very Posh Shop I worked in as a teenager. It really works. Good luck!

Princesspeahead & Shitehawk - Brilliant! Sellotaped worked a treat. I'm left with the tiniest tiniest one fleck that will hopefully fade over time.
Thank you.
