someone on here tell my mum she MUST buy a Miele washing machine

they have gone through 3 washing machines in the last 10 years. she has spotted a Miele on offer, and my dad says go for it, my mum is floundering because she doesnt want to buy another duff machine. i have told her, as has SGK, that miele are the best machines she could possibly buy. we need back up!!!

Yes she must! We have one (a Miele - not that partic model) and it's absolutely brilliant. It's bound to save money in the long run (fewer repairs, lower running costs), and you can often get a looong warranty (5 years? maybe 10?) if you look on their website.

Do it - it is so much cheaper in the long run. My friends sister has one that is 22 years old and still going strong.

Our landlady put in a piece of junk by Haier and consequently pays for a call-out and a repair every time we try to spin something heavier than three tea towels and a pair of baby socks.

You don't need extended warranties with Miele, they don't go wrong. Expected lifespan is 20+ years, my mums is still going strong after 30. It's only every gone wrong once, and that was our fault for bunging it up with beach sand. Bargain.

She MUST, I love ours. Of course we got the only one that broke in the first year but they were very obliging, came to fix it after work (as we were most insistent that we couldn't take time off, being teachers), making zillions of trips to fetch parts etc, replacing anything that seemed even slightly knackered and doing it all for free.

My in laws who are the deinition of money saving will only buy Miele appliances.Money saved in the long run.

We bought a Miele washing machine and dryer 6 months ago although my last Zanussi washing machine lasted 15 years.No problems so far.

well i think my dad went to go and get it. not heard anything back yet. they are hoping to arrnage delivery after their hols.

dad would rather take the extra cover, just in case.

Should come with a 10 year guarantee anyway.

MAke them add up the cost of premiums on extended warranty -- almost always cheaper just to pay the money in the v. unlikely event that it should go wrong.

If they live in a hard water area they need to use water softener in every wash, though. And remember to clean the filter out every couple of months and run a v. hot wash once in a while. If you do all those things, there's no need to pay for extra cover.
