LOL Grouchy

Holidays only started yesterday, and I'm rapidly becoming a part time FLYer. I will pop in and out but need to get the dc out of the house as much as poss to avoid whinging and fighting.

Greyskull - Sorry to hear your news

Ok, I'm catching up

TMH It's great to see you back, hope you're doing OK and DS1 is on the mend.

Greyskull Oh lovely. to you

Loopy I usually end up blitzing the house on a Saturday. I do the kitty litter, the floors, the stairs, the dusting and collapse into a feckless heap. The story of my 'clean up the hose' day.

Welcome to Rupert and Godess and any newbie that I have missed

Jas Scatty Tiger SCSS Biglips Dyls Lucysmam EV and Ruby A big wave and a request to join in again

I've been seperated from the laptop the past few days. DH has flu, not manflu, the real thing, the GP says so (and getting him near the doc is a miricle in it's self) so he gets the PC while he lays in bed, poor lad.

Thing is I am also

Unable to do Kelly's missions (there's 20stns of DH in there needing his rest)
Can't put the dry washing away
Can't start rubbing down or stripping the drawers (He's worried about the dust and I Can't shift them outside)
Can't make him a birthday cake, he'll hear the mixer and get twitchy.

Plus I'm trying to keep Ed occupied, School Hols and as next door's brood are awful to him I just want to get him out of the way so he can have some quality time without being teased mercilessly. Plus my blood pressure gets even higher at the lack of parental responsibility from the grown ups next door. Tricky situation all round. Yesterday we went to the local country park for a few hours and did some wild flower spotting amongst picnicking, sculpture climbing, ice cream scoffing and running about.

Ed is up so I better get some breakfast made,

Morning all

Thanks for all your kind wishes, DH and I were saying last night, it isn;t the clump of cells that is making us sad, it is the potential that the cells had if you know what I mean.
Anyway school holidays is probably a good time for this to happens as there is little time to dwell.

Oh TMH - do you need to get to a Doctor? is there some preventative action that can be taken to stop you getting it?

long time no see! so on your behalf at your neighbours how horrid for you and Ed!

sirstinkysocks the beach sounds like a great plan sandcastles and paddling - I miss living at the seaside.

lucysmam I hate having things in the room at night causing strange shadows I hope you manage to get things cleared so you have a more peaceful night tonight

Sagacious where you going on holiday? I find the build up to a holiday is so busy that I need the holiday more than ever by the time we get there!

littlemissloopy hope you have fun at the park

EV & Rupert have fun with your friends

Shannaratiger Bejeweled is my favorite game on the computer I used to like tertris but bejeweled has taken over

Have cleaned the kitchen
made the beds
hung out some washing and put more in
about to do some ironing
taking boys to park for a cycle an picnic.
then looking round a potential new venue for our messy playgroup.

Thanks again everyone.

Can I join? I'm baby stepping and have made it to Day 16. Hurrah! Am hoping for some support to keep me going with the programme as I really MUST get my house under control before DD starts crawling. (She's 5.5 months.)

To do:

Laundry - nappies done & on line. 2nd load (grown-up clothes for once!) in washing machine.
Washing up & shine sink
Vacuum
Baby step Day 16
Today's mission
Post office
Write shopping list
Meet NCT "mommy-friends" for walk in park

Hi Mog
sounds like you are well on your way!

I think the baby steps are the best way of starting to fly at least they are managable.

In the next couple of weeks I am going to try to tackle the 2 areas in our house that I never touch 1) the study 2) my wardrobe.
I have realised I have about 10 outfits that I wear and the rest hangs there getting in the way of me being able to see clearly what I want to wear, I try things on then get sad because they don't fit properly.
So am off to lakeland to get some more suckybags and going to store the "thin greyskull" clothes in the bottom of the wardrobe until I can wear them again.

Mad Hope DS is ok with it, my three have just had it too....its been going round the schools here lately.

greyskull I have the same problem with clothes.....I have dieted, and excercised until I drop, but still cannot get into my old clothes
I used to be a 10/12 on bottom half, and an 8/10 on top. I am now a 14 bottom and 10/12 on top.....I swear as you hit mid 30's your body just refuses to do as it is told!!

I'm not making much progress with the house....
I've had a bath, remembered DS was going to a birthday party, collected in a few Avon Books, made some lunch, done a bit of washing but someone down the road has lit a bonfire, and gawd knows what they are burninmg but it stinks, so I had to abandon ship with the hanging washing on the line idea and tumble dry them instead

Better get a wriggle on!

Hi everyone,
hi Mog!
This is day 18 for us.
Didn't like yesterday's babystep where I had to choose a bedtime. Yuck! I refuse to choose a bed time. [has tantrum]
Didn't do very well yesterday due to working from morning until evening and then LO refusing to go to sleep.
So today have done hotspots and 10 minute rescue of kitchen, online shop (trying very hard to keep it to £50 - haha!) 15 mins washing up and shining sink, swipe in bathroom, but it still smells of peepee
washing on line put away clothes, bit of decluttering that's about it.
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.
Lucysmam I love your posts, most of them are making me laugh.
Tortoise did you go to the doctors?? I am hounding you.
TMH good to hear you are recovering.
Greyskull very sorry, you feel sad. I had this happen at the end of last year and it was , it's good that you can discuss how it makes you feel with your DH.
Jas are you still doing babysteps?
